WOMEN WHO HAVE DONE LIMB LENGTHENING SURGERY
« on: October 03, 2016, 10:37:04 AM »

Hi guys! Newbie here!  ;D

Any stories about women who have done this surgery? Or wants to do LL in the near future?
I would love some inspiration from my fellow girls! Hehe

I'm a 21 Y.O girl, who really wants to do LL hopefully by 2018. Always wanted to do this surgery since I was 19 but I need to save up heaps of $$$ since this surgery is very costly. :(

Also any doctors you guys can recommend? Feel free to comment below.

Thanks guys!! Hope to hear from yous :)

Lack of funds = external tibias = ugly scars on girls' legs so make sure you want this.

Thanks for the reply peguinn and also for the links! :)

I've heard about scarring so I'm hoping to get the internal method, that's why i'm trying to save up as much as I can.

I've read your diary with Dr. Parihar too, i'm also considering him.
$43,000 seems achievable within 2 years time, and affordable considering its the Precice 2.

Wow! That's double the initial LL cost  :o
I'll probably needs to save up atleast $30-40k extra just to be safe.

You won't need close to that much extra, unless you start dancing with the Precice nails in, snap both your femurs and need to do it all over again. ;D

Haha! I'm including the cost of accomodation and expenses on that one  ;D

By the way, did Dr. Parihar mentioned the cost of the nail removal? Or Is that included in the $43k?  :D

Musicmaker was a woman too. Worst case in LL history. Fractures, misalignments, pseudoarthrosis, failure of implants and she can't walk and she has spent in 2 years more than 100k for femurs

I am still a woman. I never had pseudoartrosis, but, of course, you don't have a clue about LL and orthopaedics, and say patients suffer from it even 4 months after having started lengthening. I haven't spent 100k. I have had a hard time, but my doctor helped me all the time. There are plenty of cases like mine in LL history, so I am not the worst. You can check whenever and wherever you want and you will find that Paley, Guichet and all doctors have had cases like mine (I know some patients from Guichet who have had issues like mine; check Paley struggling with tibiae time after time). You carry on attacking me and my doctor and defending others who have had similar or worst cases, but I have seen that people from all over the world have come here and they are doing fine. In fact, Barcelona will be the city where the next Fitbone meeting will be celebrated and Dr Monegal will perform surgery for other doctors to learn from him. At this moment he is the second Fitbone surgeon in the world. You should keep all this in mind.

Musicmaker please summarize your situation because am curious

Musicmaker is still under doctor's care and she suffers from Stockholm syndrome. She won't tell the truth.

Precice is cheap?  I thought it's the most advance and most expensive.

Well you can get Precise 2 lengthening cheaper than Albizza nail(Guichet and Betz) lengthening.

You must be really fun at parties.

G-nail is just more sturdy Albizza, that's all.
