Actual gain vs amount turned/clicked
« on: August 20, 2016, 08:27:02 PM »

For those who have gone through the procedure, how much did you actually gain in height as opposed to the amount you turned/clicked your device? Also, please state which method you used (external/internal). Thanks

Gained 6-6.3cm and turned over 10cm if I recall correctly. External LON on tibiae.

When the corticotomy (break the tibia bone during LL surgery) was performed, it wasn't a clean cut. Instead, my doctor had pulverized the bone within a thickness of 7 mm. He said this approach promotes in faster bone growth. So I had 7 mm bone gap to begin with. This is the reason why the bone gap is more than the total length increase achieved.

Today I talked to my doctor and he said that the first cm turned is actually only tightening the ilizrov frame and after that you are realistically lengthening by 1 mm or 0.75 mm a day.
