Realistic height gain for a really short girl?
« on: July 29, 2016, 08:11:40 PM »

Newbie here, but I've been lurking for months on this forum. I'm 157cm (5'2) and 22 years old, I won't go into my reasons for considering LL because I think that's a given. I would appreciate comments only related to LL, as I feel very self-conscious putting not the most flattering photo of myself in underwear on the internet! :-[

Actual height: http://imgur.com/a/DHZqh
Edited version with 6cm tibia: http://imgur.com/a/BLRLa

I would love your thoughts on the mockup I did, or if I should do one of the femurs instead/included. I would love to gain more than 6cm, but I still want to be reasonably proportional! :)

Femurs imho would be better.

You want to do internal or externals?

I've read up on each and from what others say, internals are best for femurs and exterior for tibia? I would definitely prefer internals, but permanent knee problems sounds terrifying. I'm also deficient in vitamin D, so I'm wondering if I would even be allowed to have it done?  :(

I read in another thread to do the photo in underwear else you can't see proper proportions, so take your body shaming somewhere else.

I actually think you look nice compared to most of the girls. I was saying this to protect your intimacy ( wait, is this english? lol).

I do appreciate that, but I've blurred out my face so I'm not really fussed who sees this as they won't recognise me. I definitely need to get fitter if I were to go ahead with LL though, my exercise rate at the moment in non-existent!

5'2 isn't really short for a girl, just short. Read the title and expected you to be 4'7.
Anyway, femurs.

I guess it depends on where you're from, I have never met anyone my age that was my size or shorter :( and thanks! are femurs better to get internal or external?

Idk where are you living but im in the middle europe tall country and i met tons of girls your height. I even checked the height table and you are in 15-20 percentage.

External femurs are really painful, if you can afford internals that is your way to go.

Please send them my way, I don't remember the last time I was at eye-level with someone that wasn't a kid! ;D and sweet, I'll look into that. I would have thought tibias would have been better proportion wise, but I'm unsure now what with everyone commenting femurs!

Okay, I get it. I'm not as short as you were expecting, but where I live that is considered really short for my age. I'm wondering why I even bothered posting here now, I was hoping for more understanding and helpful responses.

We understand your urge to get taller but you can't claim something that you aren't. Tbh i dont even know which country you are from.

We already got someone(5'9 guy) that claimed everybody in australia is 6 foot(when in real life average for men was 5'9) so people tent to question others.

You'd think I was claiming something much more ridiculous from how you're talking! Just ignore the "really" in the title then if it annoys you that much. As you said, you don't even know where I'm from so stop jumping to conclusions. I'm just here for advice and suggestions regarding LL.

Maybe you are Dutch? And if it is true, with 166 is fine, not short.

I would kill to be that haha, every inch matters! Sadly I'm smaller than that and below average, but I do like only having to pay child fares on trains ;)

I apologise if I came across that way. Within a few hours on this forum I've already been told to put a shirt on, that I'm not short, and that my proportions are due to being a woman, so I'm sure you can imagine that it has upset me. Again, I am sorry and did not intentionally mean to lash out at anyone.

You are short but not really short.

Your proportions are affected with you being a woman(besides long legs are considered attractive for females)

And nobody ment to upset you but give you our point of view to go realistic with what you have right now. Clear head and realistic point of view is especially important with LL.

Your leg to torso propotions ARE because you are a chick. Fact, lady-bro.

You were told to put a shirt on cause there are nuts in this forum who probably should not see you in a bra. Thank god you covered your face.

Femurs for chicks...for sure.

Chill out, lots of helpful people here. And you're on a forum about height, people are gonna give their opinion about your height...ya know?

Welcome, btw.

uh yeah some of the posters here coming off with a strong double standard, though I'm sure they mean well for OP.  plenty of guys post photos of themselves in underwear for better assessment of proportions and when they post pics wearing clothes, folks literally request that guys wear just boxers instead. shouldn't be a problem if a woman wants to do the same...

I would also recommend internal femurs like others are saying if you can afford it with a quality doctor. otherwise, external tibias is better than doing external femurs. but any external method will leave lots of scars on your legs if that matters to you

The comment (although well intentioned) about putting a shirt on came off wrong and very harsh, so I can see why the lady would have been offended. You could tell she was feeling insecure from her opening post, so next time, be tactful and specific about the point you are trying to put across... Don't just randomly say to put a shirt on.... As for the comments about her not being short enough.. What purpose does it serve telling anyone on here that they're not short enough? We're all here because we aren't satisfied with our height...... Sooo can we get to some valuable fking input at some stage in this thread, or are we all going to keep making pointless posts?

Where are you from Munchkin? Just curious.

Your mockup looks good. You're a girl so proportions aren't as vital. Society considers it attractive in a girl to have long legs.. Femurs or tibs would be fine.. If you want to lengthen more do femurs. The guys are right in one respect, long femurs do look better on a girl, but again either portion would be fine. You could even do both portions. Gain 9-10cm. 167cm Sound good??

As much as your semi whiteknighting. Besides nobody said she isn't "short enough" so what the hell are you talkin about.

There were literally 2 comments about her being actually "that short" or not and it wasn't anything special(typical discussion on this forum tbh) but i guess some people need to make huge deal about it.

Seriously chill the hell up.

Okay, so no one said she wasn't 'short enough', so apologies for the lack of political correctness ;) but you guys sure as fk give the vibe she isn't THAT short. She wasn't asking for your opinion on her height, so like I said, those comments are pointless...... Oh and by the way Mr Space Cadet, I've met tons of guys who are 166cm's too, do you see me or anyone else bothing to tell you something so pointless? Nope.

Oh and thanks for the lesson in forum terminology. Had to look, "Whiteknighting" up in the Urban Dictionary. I'm guessing you spend a lot of your time on forums being a keyboard warrior.

Oh and it's chill out... Not chill up..... Oh wait, that wasn't politically correct. "Chill the hell up". Ahhh now that's better ;) Space Cadet will be happy now.

Anyway, too much energy went into that response... Going to enjoy my weekend :)

What's wrong with you guys? The amount of negativity in this thread is unreal... I can even smell the low self esteem seeping through my laptop screen.

Munchkin, if you want you can PM me. I consulted with many of the top internal doctors and did LL on my femurs.
