Trying to gain a bit of height
« on: May 21, 2016, 09:22:25 AM »

Hello guys.
First time here.
Im a male, 28 (almost 29) with only 5´4.  I know that after the bones fuse, there is no hope to be taller, but I have a little hope that spine can grow a bit (it never fuse, right?).

I’d be extremely happy even if could just gain  1 cm.
To try and see if I can, I’ll start to do HIIT training (sprints) 3 or 4 times a week. I’ll also take calcium, magnesium, vitamin k2, vitamin d3, lots of milk and some back stretching. I know that sprints and those supplements can increase bone denisity, and consequently a bit of height?
For the most optimistic people in this forum, do you think it can be done? Or am I being too irrational?

Thank you fellas

I have tried everything(yes literally every method, technique, supplement, exercise, diet etc..) in the last three years and I could not even gain 1 cm. want my advice? just don't waste your time and focus on planning for a ll surgery if you really want to become taller . Maybe save money, read diaries, read doctor profiles, contact doctors etc...

From what I understand the only things that could possibly add a little height (under an inch for sure, possibly under a cm):

- Losing significant weight if you are obese
- Yoga every day
- Inversion table everyday
- That supplement thingy whose name escapes me that adds something like 2-3mm (ground breaking) to morning height.

I tried the inversion exercises and plenty of supplements(glucosamine, velvet antler, growth hormone stimulators, calcium, multivitamins....) and the best temporary results I got were 0.4 - 0.6 cm gains, but only in the morning, Afternoon or maximum by the evening you will go back to normal height. All of these methods are a waste of time  and money. I wish I invested that time in planning for ll surgery instead of wasting three years in vain. Oh well, but at least now I feel much more motivated about doing ll because I know that there is no other way to become taller.

Thanks for your replies.

Well the logic i see is that if you do exercises (especially those who release more HGH) and take supplements that increase bone mass density (calcium, magnesium, vitamin k2 and vitamin d), maybe it can be achieved.

So if you do weight-bearing exercises (which increase bone density) and take those supplements and eat/rest well, i believe height gain can be possible. Not much sure, but i think it can be done.

Why do you think that 1 cm will make a difference?

I wouldn't do all that stuff you mentioned for just one cm gain.
