well, i am kinda lazy writing all that stuff again.
i can copy paste from old forum .
my starting height 162 cm , target height 169 cm .
wingspand and other body proprtions stuff i dont care, all that matters to me is my own views about how i look when i stand tall in mirror.:P
i m staying at Dr. Sringari 'S guest house.
some of the fellow patients may find it surprising but i have made a big headache for the Administartion of guest house.they needed a good lesson for all the ignorance and mistreatment of patients here. anyways things are goind much better now ever since Dr. Sringari visited us and had a meeting last week.

Well yes, i find Dr. sringari was the right choice for me. Clinically he has good knowledge n he is not just a LL Surgeon. He is specialized in complex trauma Surgeries.
I had issues with my frame n i spoke to him . He allowed me to innovate n reshape my frame the way i wanted. Every doctor has his own view in any surgery or procedure. So is the case here...Smiley)).
Everytime he visited  us , i asked thoroughly  and got good response n clarification from him , i m talking about clinical stuff...
I had some issue with skin infection at feet he arranged  a quick check  up with a nice Skin specialist by calling her personally. I feel good that theres enough liberty here in Guest house.  Only the administration must learn n progress a lot.
In the last visit i told him about the local admin in Guest house, he was upset as he is a very busy doctor , he hardly gets time to explore loop holes in Guest house's Administration. But he responded very well.... N took written complaints n suggestions  to to be read personally by him n to take apropriate action.
We see the difference already. Menu for week is printed . still there r issues but lets see . ..Smiley

Well, i have observed that almst everyone suffers from Sleep apnoe n wierd feekibg restlessness more in legs ,  the major cause of it is, "Restless leg Syndrome...".
This was killing me , fighting with a hard condition of LL n then being deprived of sleep ?  Really bad for Body n recovery... So i thought a,lot ..........Wink
It is rightly said , Necesssity is mother of Invention......
Wink  i risked myself n invented something. ..
Have a,look on  my frames....
I have cut the uppermost rings n made space for a big range of Knee joint flexion. This vanished my Restless leg problem, i feel more strength in my legs.more flexibility n movement helps to keep muscle strength n good blood flow that in turn helps good callus formation.
I m really happy with the results.
Dr. Sringari was shocked when he saw my cut frames but then i explained him why n how i did it. We discussed on the Physics behind my action, then he smiled n said ," good ! We will watch ur progress n prognosis.
Anyways i feel good , i can do 30 minutes of Cycling n a,set of 15 different exercises twice a day ..with no much difficulty.
                            I m looki.g forward for a smoother n faster LL.
Your views n advices r always welcome
Regard
Sameer23
P.s.-( dont try such stuff  yourself, i did it bcos i m a,Doctor myself n worked for a very short time in Orthopaedics too).

i find these exercises very useful i m doing them, with consent from Harry (our Physiotherapist ). i m benefited a lot.
well i have forgotten to mention that , i personally find Harry as a guy who is a combo of Physio doctor and a good companion. He works good n is very adjusting n flexible.  good to see that he didnt object me too much for being so liberal n experimenting stuff,.
i feel good that he replies always to the calls n problems no matter if its 3 ' o clock in the Night.  He young n doing his Masters degree in Physiotherapy , i think he misses his college days , cos he helps like a colleague n even takes us in his own car for a drive , he understands how bored we are staying one place all time.
i have read good about Harry , before i underwent surgery n feels good to see that he stands to the expectations.

anyways enough of talking .... back to work.

as i mentioned it couple of times , that this reframing was solely my own idea so i have nothing to blame or say about any one also the doctors.
Medicine is a science of experimentation  and Risk.
Science would have never been so evolved if nobody implemented his her ideas exploring and breaking the already existing trends and Discoveries.
I m not into this Royality stuff..Smiley)
i did this for me to my Frame and i feel benefited so whats the harm of sharing it with others here.Huh?
. No matter if i risk myself , but risking pays well sometimes provided its done with brains and good intentions.

anyways once again, Guys  making changes to my frame  is just my own personal decision    and NO INTENTIONS to influence anyone.

the Guest house management is doing good in food n menu, but there r plenty issues that need to be sorted yet.
 NURSE:
we have told Mr. MANAGER (he never met us / never showed up )  of this guest house multiple times that there must at least a well qualified competent NURSE in guest house ,who is approachable even in nights or emergent . At present the Nurse visits us 3 times a week  in day time.  Here live helpless immobile patients with metal frames , very often there are pains, excruciating pains perticularly in nights , WE HAVE NO MEDICAL ASSISTENCE in such situations.

dear Mr. MANAGER ! what for you is a plain business ,  is Life risking procedure for us.  A better medical assistance/ a Nurse approachable in nights and in need , shall be appreciated.

well, we are highly hopeful now that the conditions at guest house will improve.
Dr. Sringari had a meeting with all the patients today morning. There was lot of stuff that the Manager of this guest house didnt tell him. He was quite upset n angry over the management of this guest house. he says that its unacceptable that the manager here is spoiling his name n reputation. he couldnt go into details of this mismanagement earlier ,bcos of his highly packed schedule as a surgeon.
anyways, my innovation seems working well. i have acceptable callus, my Xray results show good length, i m doing cycling 30-35 mins a day  n standing with Walker since the 25th post operative day. Although i had to take rest for couple of days last week bcos i lengthened at 1.5 mm /day for 3 days n then had very bad pains . now i m fine again.
TODAY I WALKED 15 METERS WITH HELP OF WALKER...Smiley
very happy though
have little pain in left leg but i dont see any alarming signal in it.Tongue
Photos of my cut frame are there in my previous posts .
My frame is very stable and supports my body weight very well. after regular standing and even ample exercising i dont have pin bending or frame instability.
Yes the biomechanics of my frame is almost similar to a normal regular round frame. i managed to fix the 3/4 ring with the lower ring in such a way that the both behave as one body , so the chances of instability are very very few.
at least i am saved from those sleepless night of restless legs syndrome.
i am posting videos of me exercising .

Well i am a doctor myself so my frame restructuring was based on good knowledge of ," Centre of Mass " and "Force vector " principles.
I m 65 kg , and yesterday n today i walked with frames,  today rather 10 meters of walk with help of Walker. My frame supports it very good, no pin bending, no blockage of leg/knee movements, my knee flexion more than 110° , good blood flow due to more range of knee joint movements, better callus, and above all, " No Restless Legs Syndrome." ...Smiley

This video is 50 days after operation

i can understand how tough n confusing it is , choosing and going for LL . Well i have heard a lot about the surgical skills of Indian doctors , working abroad too.
so this was one factor for among others to go for LL in India.
secondly the weather , cost, people /hospital staff is very friendly n cooperative here in Paras Hospital.

although we had much problems in guest house , but Dr. Sringari  has visited us n conducted a group meeting with admin n patients, he had hard words for Admin of guest house , since then things are changing very fast n in better way,..Smiley

we r getting better care, food is according to the menu what patients decide. I am myself from medicine, no where in world there is 100 % guarantee of any operative procedure , i read Diaries of different doctors , problems n complications big or small we find everywhere ,i dont say  Dr. Sringari is best but   he is a learned good Orthopaedic n traumatolgy surgeon . although he visits us once /twice a week due to heavy busy schedule. As per the costs i find it good here.

Out of all the 10 Patients we have here , 3 left already after completing procedure and all of them went walking.
for me personally this is very important to be able to leave this place walking alone without support.i already started walking with Walker 3 days ago .

my best wishes n good luck

anyways today we are suppossed to go for Xray ,but the Management is kinda delaying it.Sad(((
generally we use to leave Guest house from 9 am for Xray controls .its for all patients here but today its already 12:20 pm n no news from Management . Actually the Manager is a miser he is very keen to take money from us but spending on us is his least preference.
God......##### someone tell him how to do business....uuhhhh..Smiley
This place would be much much better if this Manager is changed . rest everyone here is effecient, but all the finance is controlled by that  Manager so much of problems occur on this account

Mr. MANAGER what happened.Huh?Huh?Huh?

It's one thing to have problems with lengthening but to have another issue with the guest house just adds more stress to your journey.

so today was my first X ray control , post frame removal.
I was operated on 18 .12.2013
Lengthening started on 28.12.2013
Frames removed  on   25.03.2014
Total turning of the screws  7.4 cm
Increase in height      6.1 cm left , 6.2 cm right leg   ( measured during the frame removal surgery)
I have started walking with walker since yesterday/ 10.04.2014 .
According to X ray , it seems that Callus building is good.

Here the X ray , 15 days after frame removal                               ]
