Its not worth it to risk your health i agree but this topic isn't about health. Its about people stressing too much to look weird after lengthening a lot. But i wouldn't do it too cuz of health reasons. My point was that most people dont have to worry about proportions since theres very little chance to look weird. And i dobt think apotheosis looks weird in the photo. My 6'3 natural friend has the same proportions.
This is just wrong, I doubt that you have ever seen a LL'er (with 8cm+) standing next to a guy who has the same height naturally. 10 out of 10 times you'd be able to tell who has gotten his limbs lengthened.
Apotheosis looks extremly weird next to a 6'3 guy, he sags his pants and wears oversized shirts and still looks weird. His hands and feet are tiny compared to a 6'3 guy, his shoulders are narrower as well. This guy is basically all legs. I doubt that he can run for longer than just a couple of minutes.

15 cm in some cases is not shocking at all
the problem is the arms

I'll take two comparisons:
The football player Valbuena (1m67)
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e9/Valais_Cup_2013_-_OM-FC_Porto_13-07-2013_-_Mathieu_Valbuena_%C3%A0_l'%C3%A9chauffement.jpg/220px-Valais_Cup_2013_-_OM-FC_Porto_13-07-2013_-_Mathieu_Valbuena_%C3%A0_l'%C3%A9chauffement.jpg
small arms, little legs, it would be shocking if it was 1m75

Verratti (1m65)
http://images3.maxifoot.fr/marco-verratti-62.jpg
It is smaller but yet its proportions make it seem taller

There are very few side by side comparison pictures for limb lengthening. With good reason. I'll leave this here.

He went from 168 to 179

7+4 for an 11cm total

Pretty much it all depends what you want out the surgery. Some are willing to sacrifice appearance and athletic ability for those extra cm.
This surgery is a tradeoff.

I was refering to this picture but unfortunately didn´t find it , I think it proves my point. If this was 11cm´s just imagine how it would  look like if he did 20cm´s instead of 11.

Yeah, it doesn't look like the guy in the pic was much of an athlete to begin with.

But for us active guys, it matters a lot for sure.

So does looking good nked.

I'd be interested to see what people on the forum would think if there was no comparison and it was just him in the picture. The reviews would be far more favorable I'm sure, unless you're planning on being a hermit and not being compared to those around you when in public then proportions do hold some degree of importance. How much is up to the individual to decide.

1) His legs are super skinny since he still can't use them. Once he will be able to build some muscles things will even out a bit

2) I believe that starting height as alot to do with proportions since the taller you start the bigger your wingspan, hand size, shoulder width.

3) It seems that this guy has super small hands while the other guy has huge hands

2) Obviously

3) Assumption

i dont know if hand size and feet size and shoulder witdth has is porportion to height.   my friends cousins and brother height is 173 -178 cm     we wear same shoe size, measured hand are same. we borrow shirt also from each other.   shirt also are same.   i see their legs longer but not sure arm size.

i notice this  guy who always play basketabll      my classmate before,  he is 170 cm only but his hands are bigger than my friends 175 cm above

Wrong, read this :

http://msis.jsc.nasa.gov/sections/section03.htm

You'll notice how as height increases other body measurements also increase in size.

While your anecdotal evidence is interesting I'll take the NASA measurements every time.

That is also true :) Of course with height increase other parts of body will increase in size. But there are exceptions(maybe its not so common but there are)
Specially shoe size varies a lot.

My father is 2cm taller than me and he has 40 shoe size. I dont think that everyone are the same... Even with the NASA thingy, it's the average measurments... We will be fine if we dont exaggerate with the cms... 6 max per segment

i just measure my legs,  if I lengthen to be 175 cm,   i will have same leg length with brother, but shorter arms by 2.5cm  each, his upper arm is longer than my,my brother sister mom and dad say it is not notice.      just go aheaad and look for a dotor who can make sure you can recover

Sitting height is not a good indicator of torso length. Never has been really. It's part torso length and part fat and/or muscle in the glutes (ass). It's more of a lazy reference for overall body proportion.

That pic is not at all representative of what would most sitting heights are. The woman even looks like she has a pretty big butt (Dat ass).

The only thing I ever came close to considering as being a good indication of leg length relative to height is True Inseam; but that's hard to measure and get a proper reference for since most people consider inseam as being pant length.

You're right but you have to understand that nobody gives so much attention to the lil details. You and some old forum members are probably the only one who look so closely to proportions by counting numbers etc. Nobody cares that much about proportions like forum members.

You are right. I dont remember ever noticing proportions before thinking about LL. BUT I do think that one should not go and do 8cm per segment (My opinion). I believe that 4-5 inches in total are a max in order to be considered within the normal range.

That's true. It depends on the person. Everybody is unique. I think the reason why my sitting height is similar to 6'5 guys is cuz I got a very big torso. Its 96 cm. Dutch people got an average sitting height of 94/95. Most 5'8 guys got big torsos too.
