stop thinking about proportions
« on: March 22, 2016, 07:29:13 PM »

A lot of people over here are afraid to lengthen too much so they won't look like a cartoon. I live in Holland and I'm 5'8. There's a 6'6 who got the same sitting height as me and he still looks normal. He looks long legged but not weird. His sitting height is even the same as a 5'5 girl I know. Long legs are being known as attractive so don't worry. Almost all tall men in Holland look like apotheosis and they're still looking normal. You guys just think too much about proportions while "normal people" never notice things like that. This all means that a lot of 5'8/9 guys can lengthen up to heights like 6'3/6'4 and still nobody will think you look weird. I didn't look at arm sizes but this can be lengthened. Don't worry about proportions

It´s your arms and shoulders that look weird, and it´s absolutely wrong that you can lengthen up to 7 or 8 inches and still be proportionate. Perhaps I care a little too much about proprtions but saying that they do not matterat all is just wrong.
The 6´6 guy probably didn´t sit straight, but even if your sitting height was the same you´d still look horrible if you lengthened yourself to his height. There was a picture of a guy who went from 168 to 178 next to a guy who was 178 naturally and the guy who did the lengthening looked like a dwarf on stilts.

I think it also depends on your ethnicity. If you look at tall Africans they tend to have really long legs. So whether long legs is acceptable also depends on what type of people you hang out with.

How can i look horrible if my sitting height is the same. Maybe my arms would look short but that's no prob since you can lengthen them. Look at NBA players and very tall people they all have short sitting heights. And you can't compare me to other people since every person is unique. Maybe that 168 guy already had long legs. Most people are only tall Cuz of their long legs. I know a tall girl (5'10) and a short girl (5'3) and their sitting heights are the same. So how would the short girl look horrible if she does 7 inches? She would just get the same proportions as the tall girl which looks normal. You're just worrying too much about proportions. Every tall dutch man looks like apotheosis and his proportions are more than normal over here

You are aware that ass size comes into the equation when you talk about sitting height (A reason why girls have "tall" sitting height)..
Probably addind 10cm wont look wierd but adding more will... Also, you dont into the equation hand size (Look at the mockering of Trump which makes me wonder if he did LL hihi), shoulder width... But I do agree that people take proportions too serious here... Tibias wont effect proportions as much as femurs will since the distance between the knee and the tip of the hands will remain the same.

btw, look at the link in the satyrical wikipedia about apotheosis. It was posted here in the off topic section. There is a photo of him with a blue shirt (that is going well below his weistline... If he will but an adherent shirt, he will look like a midget on stilts... Even with his arms being already lengthened

I can say with absolute certainty the sitting height of the 6'6 isn't the same as a 5'5 girl. The mind can play tricks and make people see what they want to see. I guarantee his torso is significantly longer than the girls

How is your recovery going, if I may ask? How would you describe your knee height? Is it somehwhat obvious that they have been lengthened?
There is no way a 6'6 guy and a 5'5 guy have the same sh, so many people here are delusional when it comes to LL.

totally agree

" This all means that a lot of 5'8/9 guys can lengthen up to heights like 6'3/6'4 and still nobody will think you look weird."

maybe youre right, but such amount begins to be dangerous and 6'1 6'2 is a really good height everywhere (even in Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Iceland, USA, etc)
and i dont see where do you see this kind of people (sometimes I feel that you are living in a world where everyone is 2m), but when i see a 6'2 6'3 guy he looks very tall impossible to have the same sitting height as a 5'5 girl
for exemple look Mutara III (6'8') he look monstrously tall

I live in Holland and I'm going to college. In my other class everybody was a lot shorter. But in my current class the average height is 1,88 m. Someone measured it for a project. So yes I live with giants

Here is post 20cm apo (Went from 170 to 190)

As it can clearly be seen, his torso is super short (I drew a black line just at where his pants really begin.. And not where he makes you believe they begin due to him wearing a super long shirt).

He looks like a dwarf on stilts

He was 5'7(maybe a cm more) and he did almost 20 cm.He was super greedy imo.He could do 10 cm and have a better recorevy and much better proportions.(5'11 is a great height imo)Maybe he can run right now but im sure its very slow. And i doubt if he can walk 5-10 min without geting tired.
He will have so many long term problems.
And im very sure he wont go to a public beach or a pool again.. :)

Yeah,im very realistic when it comes to this surgery and everyone should be like this..This is no joke. And about this topic DONT stop thinking about proportions.Proportions are important and nothing can change this.Be realistic.Dont try to fool yourself with "proportions are not important" just because you want to be taller.
You wont be able to reverse this procedure after its done. What will happen if you hate your body when you look at mirror?
Again,please be realistic.

I like what Dr Birkholtz had to say about proportions in this post: http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=137.msg2102#msg2102

I know many people go to a lot of trouble to talk about proportions, sitting height etc. What they're really trying to do is justify why they should lengthen extreme distances. Remember that longer distances may mean more height, but they also mean longer treatment times and exponentially more complications. This is especially common once we exceed the 2 inch mark for a segment. This is the main reason I would limit a lengthening to a maximum of 10cm in total - safety first. There is no sense in having beautiful long legs if you cannot use them!

Yes he is right. Its bad for your health to get that much taller but he says nothing about looking weird. And that's what I mean. People are too scared to look weird

no interest to risk your health just because you want to be taller as your friends

Its not worth it to risk your health i agree but this topic isn't about health. Its about people stressing too much to look weird after lengthening a lot. But i wouldn't do it too cuz of health reasons. My point was that most people dont have to worry about proportions since theres very little chance to look weird. And i dobt think apotheosis looks weird in the photo. My 6'3 natural friend has the same proportions.

I think people should be more concerned with how they look to themselves

as peaceout said if you hate the way you look every time you look in the mirror you're going to have a bad time

I personally would never do femurs exactly for that reason, I would never mentally get over the fact that my knees were further away from my hands
