Dr Franz just posted in the other thread the name of a titanium nail.

As you know, titanium nails are used after lengthening in some cases. Reason is, lengthening nails can bend on pressure while titanium has no moving mechanism and is therefore fully weight bearing, you can even jump with them.

Now, I know Dr. Betz takes extortionate prices to install these nails.

Does anyone know the quotes of these nails?

There are a number of good titanium nails on the market. They range in price (locally) from around 1000-1500 USD per nail. These are nails imported from the states, switzerland or italy.
The costly part is hospitalization and theatre time for the procedure. In our unit this would cost around 10K all in. (Incl nails).

imagine if we could buy the nail for the real price and then just pay the surgeon the surgeon fee and hospital fee.

During the case of Andrewshizzles, he said the surgery cost was waived by Dr Betz. Did he also waive the titanium cost?
