Netherlands height
« on: March 03, 2016, 07:32:07 AM »

who did the study? that methodology? which funded? what were the samples? how many subjects? an average of 1m84 is gigantic, we are talking here of medium

there is a difference between the average of all height and listed the most common height, especially as it is not a country known for its genetic stature, or to be in the sun, or for his diet, there is almost no factors that would justify such stature average

if you have links that I can read ...

it has not always been the case
and newspapers are not scientific evidence
i think there is a confusion between medium and median height

when I was in high school there was a school exchange with high school students in Amsterdam. I don't go in Netherlands but I saw the correspondents and the majority were below 1m85 (at the age of 16)

I'm a 5'8 guy who lives in Holland and I can tell you the dutch don't give a damn about height. Many of you maybe would think I would feel like Jamie cullum or Kevin Hart over here but i never got discriminated about my height, never been bullied about it. Never hear I'm short or something and never been rejected by a girl cuz of it. But everybody towers me over. But Holland is full off short immigrant. At college its very normal to be 5'6 I see those guys every day. But its also normal to be 6'8.

From the internet in appears to be an american problem. The USA just got another reason to be one of the most hated country on earth. Their superficiality is like a cancer to the rest of the world. I am glad I am not american

I don't know your height but how would it be to be 5'8 in america? Would I get discriminated and bullied time? We got a very small succesfull rapper over here and he is 164 cm. Nobody ever said anything bad about his height..

If you're younger and in college or something, I have no idea. Online dating would be tougher for sure. You won't get mocked in the workforce at all, unless you are a chump and a pushover.

I am 5'7 and a bit, almost 5'8. I've never struggled. American media makes fun of short actors and rappers all the time. 5'8 is not the end of the world man, not by a long shot.

Most would consider you average. Just don't live in the Midwest.

Yes online dating would be tough since 5'5/6 guys claim to be 5'8. girls will call you short but if they see you in person they would be like oh you more like 5'10 since 5'8 guys claim to be 176/178 on average. Yourr litterally forced to lie about your height

My best friend is 5'5, and dates often from online dating. He puts 5'7. So yeah, lying is required. If I was 5'8 I'd put 5'9 at least.

He dates average girls in their mid to late 20's fairly easily in my opinion. Not a player by any means though. He's 36. Not wealthy at all.
