For those 5'5" (165cm) to 5'7" (170cm)
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:55:00 AM »

How much would you do?

2" is safe but it still doesn't bring you to average height (US and Southern Europe). If you do more than 2" you might sacrifice too much athletic ability which does not seem to be worth it.

2" x 2 surgeries seem good resolution but it might be even worse due to the trama and time

What decisions have you made?

I'm 5'4 going to 5'7. 4 + 4 to me would be ideal. But generally. I'd say for you just do one surgery and get out. 5 cm isn't bad and can get good results.

6-6.5cm are the maximum I would do. Maybe 7 if I responded very well and every day was a walk in the park, however I doubt that is likely.

6.5CM is an awesome gain. I am currently at 6.5 with a similar starting height (166.5). Going to do 1 more cm, but if i had to stop now this surgery would be so worth it for 6.5CM

With which doctor and what method are you lengthening? And which part (Femur or Tibia)?

Hey TIBIKE,

With Dr.Barinov and as of right now it may be externa only(without nail) because my regeneration is very good. Dr says i may not need nail if i wait alittle longer. Will see if my regeneration remains the same.

Are you doing LON or LATN? Why do you need nails if you are doing external?

Hi texasbruce,

Doing LATN but i have the option of just keeping the frames on and doing external or getting the nail. Because my regeneration has been very good, i may not need the nail. Doctor says in 4 months(been here 5 months) i could be frame free. Will see how my next x rays look.

It took you 5 months to lengthen 6.5 CM ?... why that long, did you have complications, and had to stop?
