For people that did any type of LL, was it worth it?
« on: April 28, 2019, 09:03:12 PM »

I’m deciding in those few days if i will get the surgery on my tibias to add 6cm, going crom 163cm to 169.

For people that already did it, was it worth in your opinion?

Very hard to say, so far I’ve lost 8 months of work, a few very painful months of stress and sleeplessness. A few giant arguments with my girlfriend about it. My road to recovery is now only starting to really improve.

I would really suggest that you think it through if you really, really need it. If I were to do it again, I would have not done straight externals, I would have done LON. 8 months is way too long to be doing this unless you’re working remotely anyway.

Good luck with your surgery.

1 year post can run slowly, walking/gym everyday. Issues are zero, ankle tight waking up.

I am 16 months post-op.  It has been a life changer for me all the way around.  The down time, pain, and expense has been worth it.  The additional confidence gained and getting rid of height complex was huge.

When is your removal ?

I’ll have an evaluation in about 3 weeks, could be then, could be longer. Who knows.

My consolidation is pretty good though.
