It hurts to be called ''that short''

Today at the gym, I was talking about proportions, not the ones we are discussing here haha but the ones regaring cm/kg ratios and the other three guys , 2 Austrians and one Swiss, heights approx. 185, 188, 192-3, were like discussing their kgs and asked me about mine and when I said 69 they were all like - not sure what does that mean compared to your height. Its been 7-8 years since we were that short around 5'10 ... And its funny how they don't even say that meaning harm, its just completely normal to throw some jokes at the short guy in the group :D I guess they dont really differentiate between 5'8, 5'9 (me), 5'10..

P.S
It didnt help that there was a 6 foot girl laughing with them :D

Cause they probably don't mean harm... It sucks when one points out when one is relatively shorter but you just have to differentiate when one entails harm or not.

gym is the worst environment for that.
And I'm pretty sure that if you tell them about the operation they will tell you you assume you
but 10 cm it's not huge either

People that are between 185 - 192 never really tought about height. Most likely during elementary school they were the weird tall kids, then at some point in high school they realized its actually helpful and just enjoyed it, never really thinking what is the life of the people with average, below average, or significantly below average height like.

It's also a matter of culture.. Really... In Israel, most guys who are 185+ are considered too tall and freaks... I guess that being 175 in central europe is equivelant to be 168 in Israel?

175cm can actually be small for this person cepandant 180CM 182 CM is considered relatively large worldwide

175 cm is really small for the environment in which I am. I challenge everybody to come and try to spot 2 guys, both of them below 6'0 having a conversation. In the majority of the situations, you will see two 6'0 + , rarely 6'0 with a 5'10 or 5'11. It is not a rare occasion when one can spot a pack of 5-6 guys each above 6'1 having a a passionate talk :D

I know that feeling, I just came home from a bar. We were 7 guys and I was the shortest out of them, I even wore shoes with higher soles (yeezy sneakers) which give me 1-2cm more than casual shoes. So I was 181-182 and still a couple of cm´s shorter than the second shortest guy in the group.

I ve been to Israel 3 times. Gorgeous beaches, women, great food indeed. Very friendly people. Israel is a beam of light in an area of darkness :)

why are europeans genes so tall?   185 cm is considered very tall in china too.   at 190 cm.    no one wants to date you anymore

Europeans genes are not so tall
south europeans are reputed to be small (Italian, Spaniard, etc)
and Arab people and people from DOM TOM have a similar height
the greatest are Tusti in Rwanda (see Sonia Rolland or Stromae)

Interesting...I'm from Austria and I've had totally different experiences than you in many places...what I see mostly is a mix from tall, medium and short guys, and 1 meters 85 is definitely not the average height...it's above average in the places I live in.

I'm studying right now at a highly racially diverse school here in the U.S. My height Neurosis/Disphoria was borderline uncontrolled as it was tragically affecting my life before I went there. Once I got around in that school and walked with thousands of other people man did it improve drastically.

Guys of all shapes and sizes. I've seen some gigantic people as much as I've seen some small people in both males and especially females (no they weren't actually affected by achondopasia). I really do see just as many people below average as I do above it. Made me realize a lot about life.

I think it has to do with the fact that I am currently studying at one of the most ''prestigious'' private university in Germany. All students are more or less wealthy and are considered to be ''socially favored'' so to say. This has something to do with the principle that in the US the Fortune 500 companies CEOs average 183 and 58% are taller than 183. I would say the same is valid for the situation in which I am right now.
