I believe he is assuming. If he even claims that he can do it he just cant proof it(altough he wont be able to do it).He is not even sharing his photos right now lol.
Btw im easily accepting your challenge,do it and i wont just delete my account i will burn my pc.
LL ruins your body after a certain limit.

What is the limit though? Because as I said, I "only" want to do 4-5cm

Btw are you actually squatting in that range at the moment? Or are you just assuming you could do it?

Can this challenge include comparison pics between yourself and dozer. As dozer is slightly taller than you now I would seriously pay to see what a natural 180cm guy looks like compared to an original 167cm lengthened to to 182cm guy looks like in briefs (no homo).

Longer arms, longer torso, and much more muscle development. I'm not going to rip on Dozer in any shape, but let's face it, it won't look anywhere near what the vast majority of 180 guys look. And to Dozer, sorry bud, but right now you're pretty much like a walking wonder to us.

I have no problem with posting a pic, but my proportions are *slightly* atypical. The reason I found out about LL was from googling long femurs/short torso, which is what I was born with.

If there is one thing I learned seeing guys of various heights, is that there is no limit to proportions.... I can see well developed 180 guys and "small" 170 guys and vice versa. long legs short torso 180 guys and the same with 170 guys. There is simply no limit to what one can see.

Right.

Tbike despite all the diaries we still don't know what that limit is. Considering we've had over a hundred diaries here & on the old forum over a period of ~5 years or more, and in that time there has been NO, or at most *maybe* 1 example of post LL strength that could be considered above the novice level, I think that limit doesn't exist. This is something that the body probably doesn't recover from outside of basic activity.

Spend your money & be the guinea pig then ... I hope in 2 years from now you come back & prove me wrong, but odds are you won't. Honestly ... the data suggests it's literally a 100-1 shot for you to squat ~130kg.

I think that if someone goes to the trouble of keeping a diary, they would love to show off their great recoveries ... if they happened. Since we never see anything, it's reasonable to conclude that they probably just don't exist. You can cling to the belief that lengthening less will ensure you have a great recovery if you want, but like I said ... you'd be a guinea pig.

Lol, I've see that guy squat heavy and it's an example of why you don't low bar squat with those proportions. And no I'll post a real pic without my face, no danger in that.

He doesn't want to do it; he was here to sway us from doing it a couple weeks back.

Which begs the question: what's the continued presence here Dude? Does it have to do with the relation you might have with people who artificial have long femurs to torsos?

I had BDD as a teenager/young adult so I can relate to the thought process. If my insecurity had have been height, maybe I would have considered LL. I would have ignored the risks and rationalised it away "no-one else is as committed as me, once I get this one thing done I'll finally be able to focus" etc etc. Seeing the kinds of results you get, if I was an athletic person and decided on LL, I would have really struggled mentally and probably been suicidal. This is a surgery designed for people who's quality of life is already really low, not middle class young men struggling with their egos. I think LL is an awful, awful decision ... It needs to be said because this place, like all other fringe forum is an echo chamber where people's delusions and mental illnesses get legitimised.

I dont know what your height is, but being short sucks... It really does... I know that I am inflating the issue (being 171-172cm) but I can't stand to read the stuff about "guys below 5'10-5'9... It hurts...It hurts alot

Honestly, if you're being hurt by comments made on the internet, which always speaks in hyperbolic and overgeneralizing terms, and that is the sole reason why you are considering LL...Don't do it. This isn't an issue about whether you are short or not, which considering that you're only 171 in Isreal (I think that's where you live) you're killing yourself over an inch. Don't live your life, or let it be influenced by vicarious means.

I just want to be average. I dont want to be tall... I dont want my height to play any role in my life. That's why I am being conservative

That's understandable. I'm not arguing the advantages of being taller or average, nor do I have any incentive to dissuade you, but if all that's getting to you is the comments made on the internet, then I'd take a huge step back, avoid the forums for awhile, try therapy, and see what happens from there.

I dont suffer from insecurities.. I have alot of friends, dated women, I study medicine (I am supposed to finish this july)... It's just that it has something to do with me. A feeling I have in me that my height plays a role in my life that it shouldn't have. This is why I want only 4-5cm to my height. I dont want to get advanteges from a thing that is not a part of me, yet I dont also to be at a disatvantege

See that can be addressed in therapy. I'm just saying you should, along with every single person in this forum, try to seek mental help. Trust me, I'm no hypocrite. I wouldn't be recommending it if it hasn't in some form worked. I can't guarantee it will work 100% to everyone, (for me personally I at least got out of that socially-seclusion that I placed myself in) but I can say that all of us here need to take a step back from this echo-chamber and at least try to see things differently. If not for the sake of saving yourself thousands of dollars, time, pain, and possible athleticism, then at least for the sake of ensuring that you fully think all the consequences that can follow if you go through with it.

LL is a last resort.

Important Note: I wouldn't be so dissuasive when it comes to LL for people if this surgery wasn't as high-risk and time consuming and expensive. I also wouldn't be so dissuasive if people didn't seem so self-degrading towards their value in this world because of lack of height (especially if you're just ever so shy of average).

Agree, it would be great if therapy can work. I can understand what he or any person here is going through dealing with their height. Personally, I think the problem with height is that it is associated with Manhood, that’s true where I live at least. It so hard to be treated or to be even looked at like a (less of a man) because of few Cms. It’s not like your fat and want to lose weight or add muscles or get a degree or get rich. That is something out of control & revolution of limb lengthening these years is tempting. Good doctors like Monegal, Pelay, and others play a major role in making the decision easier. Should we care how other view us? Well, that depends!
Some people thinking about these kind of surgeries are confident and have reached high professional and social levels. They are happy with the way they are, but always trying to improve qualities when they ‘can’.

I actually know professional athlets who did LL to get advantage. Like one shortened his humerus to press more lol, and another one lengthened his tibias. Not sure how it went though, didn't ask the doc. But I may next time.

I think you're speculating too much though, Thatdude, are you even a LL patient? If not, where do you get all that information from? Just wondering. And if I get to squat 100 kgs 10 reps with proofs (I've lengthened 15 cms btw (7.5 - 7.5 tib-fem), and my max squat was 90kgs before LOL) will you delete your account? I mean if you're so sure, you should easily accept my challenge.

Dozer, I notice you disappeared after Thatdude accepted your challenge.  It's been 3 months since you wrote this and you've been on the site as recently as this week.  Should we conclude that you're not actually very hopeful that you'll be able to perform this feat?

What is really awful is spending your life for 20, 30 years, sometimes even longer, with the clear consciousness that your current height is just not enough for you to be satisfied with your apperance. That you try to be as humble a person as you can be, but still feel in your deepest inner self that while you can accept many aspects of not being perfect, you can't accept this one thing, that there will always remaing a large chunk of deep disappointment in you because of your height. Try imagining this situation in your life...and then think again if LL is always, under any circumstances an "awful, awful decision"...only because you won't be able to powerlift at a good level? I'm sure you're aware that a lot of people are born with some sort of handicap that keeps them from performing athletic exercises, and will never be able to perform well at these. Do these people simply have awful, awful lives? Should they just kill themselves? Or should they find a way to live their lives with satisfaction?

^Even if you were to fix your height I'm sure you would find something else to obsess over. I used to think I had one major flaw, & if I could fix it I'd be fine. The reality is that I have lots and lots of flaws. I just wasn't aware of them/minimized them due to my tunnel vision. You will always be able to find something else wrong with yourself if you have the kind of personality to end up in this place.

Being a tall guy, I find it odd that you come here and say that height doesnt mean that much (even though you do admit that height is part of physical attraction and that heightism do exist).
It would be like me (coming from a wealthy family) going to a poor people's forums telling them how money doesnt buy happiness and that one can live happily in a one bedroom flat in the  tiest part of town and not in a nice big appartment in the best place in town while the thought of moving to a rundown one bedroom flat in the  tiest place in town from my nice big appartment in the best place of town didn't isnt and would never cross my mind.
You would have more credibility if you werent tall and werent suffering from BDD (As you said you are... Correct me on that point if I am wrong).

Btw, I am not thinking you dont have good intentions or anything.

Well...this thread just taught me something about myself.

I chased money for the longest time expecting it would make me happy...it didn't.

So my mind switched to a different obsession, apparently.

Wise comments OBG and DIFM have made just became more clear for sure.

Good to understand that about myself lol. Glad I could share. We need a "feelings" section...

It depends on what the scope of this surgery is for people... If it is in order to make you happy, you are in a road for failiure. This surgery is PURELY cosmetic. Nothing more and nothing less. Putting the risks aside, this surgery is for people who are discontent with their height.

This surgery is not life changing. You will be yourself just a little bit taller. If that will put you at peace with your body, so be it. Height (unless like really really short) doesnt have ANY EFFECTS on your life when it comes to career or sociability. About physical attraction, height is part of the package and should not be seen as anything more.

I agree that height is been completely glorified to beyond proportions in this but especially old forum.

+1 LL can help you with your self esteem but it won't cure it just by itself.

Im shorter than average woman in my country yet i had no social problems whatsoever. Seriously half of the forum is thinking like /r/short.
