Hi guys,
i saw a similar post in old forum.And i wanted to open it here.(i dont know if there is a post like this alredy.)
Im starting

Me:5'8(173)
Dad:5'11.5 (181-182)
Brother:5'11 (180) (thank god he is older than me i dont think i could take it if i was older

)
Mom:5'3(160)
And most of cousins are taller.

All except one of my half siblings have a mom who is 5'11 like my dad, and another one has a mom who is 5'8. My mom is 5'0 and that's why I was so much smaller than the rest.

My Dad is around 190 and my mother is 175ish. Most of my uncles are 190+ and every female in my family is 175+. When we take family pictures, I´m always the one in the front row because no one would see me otherwise (that´s the running gag in my family). My two cousin are both around 193-195.
My little sister is the tallest in her class by quit a bit, according to the Dr. she will be between 179-184 when she´s fully grown.

I don't really have a neurosis. I regard LL as an opportunity for self-improvement. To correct a certain aspect of my body I dont really like.

May I ask why your mom's height decrease so much? Normally people lose their height by 2-3 cm when they get old, and 5-7cm when much older like 80+?
Sorry to ask this question, but I think its important to know because I dont want to lose the height I gained from LL when I reach age 50 or so.

It sucks being shorter than your dad especially when he grew up in a third world country, and you grew up in North America....really sucks lol

I've noticed most immigrant sons are much taller than their fathers. I dont realy understand why i wasnt an inch or two taller than him when he only ate meat three times a week and i ate meat three times a day :/ anyone have an idea?

Nothing unusual methinks.
Male relatives on fathers side are all greater than 175cm including the older ones, male relatives on mothers side are all below 170cm.

Good question. I think it's probably imperfect health and a lack of activity. She has been having back problems for a while and doesn't really do anything about it. My advice if you don't want to lose height is to stay as active and healthy as you can, yoga, stretching, gymnastics, and so on.

male cousins : 167, 174 and 178 , tallest.

Mine parents are quite happy that we are 5'8 , but not so for me. In Canada, i feel pretty short ;/ ............

Average male height country: 173/4 (probably 176 in 20 years time)
Average female height country: 163

Youth are taller... Still one of the shortest average height in Europe. When i see erasmus students at my college I am like: wow this dudes are tall as f***.

Always use timberland boots or 1cm insoles on trainers that already have 0.5cm advantage to shoes like vans. That so I normally have an advantafe of 1 or 2 cm to normal shoes. Planing on doing 5cm on femurs and forget about my height neurosis.
