Hmm, kind of curious about this hospital. Do they offer Illizarov procedure? IF so, I'm definitely considering going here.

Vendetta I would seriously reconsider. His dates don't match up. A new doctor shows up.... only diary... perfect recovery... with insanely fast recovery.  He could be telling the truth but in my opinion unlikely.

Don't have all the X Rays with me.Could find only this.

http://www.imageno.com/h0c0gp1k3xafpic.html
( This is Approx. Mid August.) (Approx. 7.25 to 8.0 cm)

(Used Pull Back method for Fast bone Growth)

Not sure about the exact Date or Length, as i have Relocated Elsewhere.Dont have medical Records with me.

Only issue i am facing is , Tight Quad. Muscles , and bit of knee pain while doing squats or trying to walk the Stairs fast.It comes & goes, but i should be 100% in the next 2 months Give or Take.

(Earlier, Doctor recommended  Plating instead of Nailing .However,Later he decided to carry on with Nailing since i had no deep Bone Infection)Opening the Patella tendon  some times exposes the Pin site Bacteria to the deep bone during Nailing.

The same as without LON or LATN. These nails are just "cosmetic", they don't improve your healing rate. Their only advantage is, that you don't need to wear a ilizarov device after the lengthening anymore.

You will still need to walk with crutches and your bone will take as long to heal as if you were keeping the ilizarov device on.

@Dishant- Each body reacts in a different manner. However, u can Walk ( Slowly ) within a month if you Lengthen your Achilles Tendon ( Its very Painful but will remove Ballerina ) & your Bone growth is Good.

@Cheez- You need to walk with crutches, only for 2 Weeks after the Final Surgery.Atleast , i did that since  my Quad muscles were very weak to hold my knees Striaght & Achilles Pain was Excruciating.

Hey tolly,i see that for the price uve paid its a very good outcome and as i too am from india i know that the hospital from which u have undergone this surgery is highly reputed one.But since this is a life altering surgery id like to meet u and discuss about this.Because i dont want to be crippled listening to one diary on this forum. If ud pm me we can arrange the meetup.Dont worry i will be the one who will get to u.Also after you have done the surgery are your femurs lost some weight??! In the sense have they become thin?! Or tibia's are the only part that have thinned?

@Charis - I have sent you a PM. Since , i reached 9cm even the femurs became very thin &  weak along with my Tibia's .I could barely keep my knee straight while walking.

The only way to tackle this is to make your Quadriceps as strong as possible. My Quadriceps were quite weak to begin with & secondly i did not do any Physio.

However, within 2 to 3 weeks after the Final Surgery ( Fixator Removal, IM Nailing & Achilles Tendon Lengthening ) gradually my Quadriceps began to gain strength.

Basically , once you stop Lengthening the muscles on their own begin to Develop and adjust to the new Length.

@Charis- FYI. I have received your notification just now.

I am not active here any more, as it really messes with my mind & because of people like you, who discredit all my pain & hardwork I have been through.Despite proof ( Pictures & old Diaries ) & who dont appreciate the knowledge i am sharing.

Trust me mate, the knowledge i am giving you & everyone else is priceless, without this you & the rest will be walking in the O.T like a Headless Chicken. Nevertheless, best of luck in case you go ahead with the surgery.

I am staying in Banglore & Pune and you are more than welcome to come here. I can explain the whole process in person.

On second thoughts, F**k off. I cannot go own sharing my no. with every Tom & Harry because they 'MIGHT'  one day undergo the procedures.

Even i have a Life, and have to make a living. However,I am more than happy to answer your questions here.

I only share my no. if someone is seriously in need of guidance while 'UNDERGOING' any of the Lengthening Procedures.

@OregonMade- Call me on Whatsapp.I have messaged my no.

I feel yah bro. This is why I will never share my experience with the people here. I am thankful for those who have come before me, but there are so many uninformed and angry people here who will put you down to feel better about themselves. After consolidation, I don't really see a point to stick around.

Good luck on your recovery!

@LLCaptain- Thank you. Its good to know some genuine people like you exist here. I am now seriously considering weather i should  ever visit this site again or not.

There are too many idiots on this Forum, especially inexperienced people, who think they are doctors after reading about LL here & on Google. They dont know ABC about LL & post useless comments not appreciating & realizing the knowledge we LL veterans are sharing.

@Admin aka KiloKAHN - You seriously need to look into this issue. These people who have No Experience on LL should be given either limited access to post or their posts should be run by you before being actually posted.

You are promoting them to Sr. Member, in spite of the fact that they have no LL experience & they are misleading others by posting multiple baseless comments. They are ruining to many Diaries.

Actual LL veterans here are Newbie's, because we post limited but relevant data.
Seriously ? Please do the needful.

For instance, here are some of the little twats , Slim_tim , TrueSpartan etc.The list goes on & on.Where did you 2 get your LL experience ? Reading about it ?Google i suppose ?

Well, i got mine because i underwent 3 LL Surgeries.
( Monorail Fixator )
( Additional pins )
( Fixator Removal, IM Nailing , Achilles Tendon Lengthening )

Next time, you 2 ( Slim_tim , TrueSpartan ) & the rest of your gang decide to post some bulls**t & criticize people do keep this in mind.

FYI- Never compare 2 Diaries, as they are 2 different people who have different bodies & each body reacts differently to LL. Some can recover fast , while others take their sweet time.

@tolly
Thank you very much for your diary, I really appreciate your personal experience with CLL and the ISIC that you have been sharing with us.

@all
I searched for reliable information about the ISIC and even talked to someone who was a patient there (not LL unfortunately).
It is a reputable clinic which is (partly) funded by the government and they indeed employ only good doctors.
If there is a place in India where they won't milk you like a foreign cash-cow and where definitely are no butchers at work, it's the ISIC.

My own research has convinced me enough to actually make me want to go there in mid December 2016 (instead of January 2017).
I'm gonna be the guinea pig and contact them sometime in August and then we will see what will happen.
I'm also going to make my own diary, a long one with lots of pictures and x-rays for everyone, so if you are considering the ISIC in 2017 or later, stay tuned.
I've already posted some mockups, where you can see my chubby body :P and I've been posting in this forum for some time now, so I'm legit too  ;)

tolly, it's comments like these that makes one never want to contribute to this forum. You owe this forum nothing and it sounds like there are some extremely ungrateful people here who expect you to answer personal questions at your time and expense.

Most of the people who ask stupid questions are not even serious about doing LL. If they were actually hell bent on doing LL, they'd shut their mouths, stop asking dumb questions, read the diaries, and go visit a guesthouse. I don't understand the hostility towards you, even though you took the time to write something, if anything.

I personally think that 95% of the diaries on this forum are factual, sometimes sugarcoated because they are still under the care of the doctor, but for you to provide X-rays and have doubters, it blows my mind.
