I first noticed the issue as I wanted to be a pilot in the RAF and the measurements for knee and shin length etc. I fit the RAFs standards for but my sitting height was way way over.. Think it could be 980mm tops and I was way over the 1000mm mark.

It hadn't been such an issue for most things but I do feel like the fact my legs are so short is abit of an issue.. My stride length suffers as a result. For example when I sit in a car my seat going back far enough isn't issue but if I actually adopted a good posture my head is on the roof in almost and car (except a 4x4 I would think)

Not sure how it looks on the pictures but what I see is a disproportionate shape.. Maybe it's just in my head but I think I look a bit silly.. Most tall guys look rangy and I don't at all.

By the way my measurement is from groin to ankle bone not the floor. Not sure how others measure but that's how Taylor's do it..

To be honest I also have size 10 feet (I wear an 11 though) so my feet are small for my size and my hands are about average I think.

To be honest, and I know it's Probably controversial on here but I've looked a lot into the idea of taking growth hormones as they're known to help grow cartilage and make hands and feet bigger..

Also would be interested in the results from LL surgary and the use of HGH in recovery etc. As it's very important for bone density and repairing other bodily tissue but that's just my thoughts

Pablo, what is your problem? Is this just short man syndrome or are you just a knob in general..

My arms a short relative to my height but no one would call a 6ft4 wingspan short at all so yes my bench is going to be a weak point.

For starters the guys in the 350kg dears are usually the under 105kg strongmen I actually train with the 16th strongest man on the planet under 105kg a local lad called Mike. I also live a few miles from eddy hall and mark felix so have a good local area for strongmen.. I spend most of my time flipping tyres.. Perhaps I can get a better quality picture for you if your worried about my physique..

HGH can't help you once your plates are done growing.

As per your look, it's pronounced, but not cartoonnish (like a Johnny Bravo look). I would probably look at the ratio between your femurs and tibia; it would have to done via X-ray as that is the best means to do so. The reason is that I think you would have to lengthen your tibia for a better look.

yer that would be a good idea.. Might see if I can get an x Ray done then and find what it comes up with..

I know what your saying about the use of HGH post ephysel fusion but research does show the bones thicken and gain density. To me I would question if the bones would lengthen under 0g conditions.

But I was more thinking about it as a recovery aid really.

I was thinking femeral length but honestly after speaking to a few people tibial would maybe be better

Here's you next to Michael Phelps, a guy who is noted for having a long torso with short legs.  Yes, your proportions are a little more off than his but not by much.

Haha!! Not my best shot in the slightest but thanks for that.. Looking there I would say my thighs where a similar length and my tibs are the short ones.

May have to put a bit more effort into the next photo haha!!

I've done a bit of research and Apperantly the taller you are the better for LL but I think that's more how far you can push it maybe. I've a fair amount of weight pushing down on the floor really

That's right.  A good rule of thumb for a maximum limit is 20% of the bone's original length.

By the way I love how British you sound just from the way you type. ;D

Thank you very much. British born and bred, certainly got a reet Lancashire accent anyway.

I'm happy with where I am now.. 2012 I stopped semi professional cycling at about 70kg and I'm now upto 120kg with a lot of hard work. Eating anything and everything.

Looking at the pictures I would like to maybe go for 8cm lengthening atleast in the shorter leg anyway. What would anyone else think? 10cm would be nice though

I'm lost for words Pablo... If you think I don't exist you've got issues. I've posted bloody pictures of myself. And you can clearly see with the photo next to the door frame that I'm hardly tiny so I don't see why my size/strength is an issue too you?

If it helps 350kg is a 1rm strapped and belted and I've not trained in a few months and put on a bit of weight..

I think you'd look great with 2-3 inches added to your tibia bones. According, to Dr. Donghoon Lee, most people who lengthen two inches make a full recovery in every way, but those who lengthen more don't usually recover all of their athleticism. But most of his patients start at around five foot five. Since you're six foot seven, you could *probably* lengthen 3 inches and fully recover athletically. The thing with this surgery, though, is that no outcome is guaranteed.

Yer that's what I'm after I think.. 3-4inch really if I can.. Just short of 7ft which would be epic but I think I'd feel a lot better in myself about my proportions. At the moment I feel I look silly.. If I get fitted clothes I'm extra long on the top and only a 32" pants which is about medium or something.

Main thing will be seeing if I can sort out the height difference aswell to level me out a bit

Hey mate, you're a pretty special case.

I think your proportions would improve drastically if you lost weight around the belly and wore your pants a little higher.

Then you wouldn't have to spend all your money, be out of a job for 6mo-1 year, and risk death/amputation/fractures/pulmonary embolism and all that crazy stuff.. know what I mean?

That said, if you really want to be taller, go git it!

Cheers for that.. I'm not sure why the picture looks as bad as it does.. I've put on abit of weight but that shot was awful haha!!

Just done abit of research and British basket ball player Paul sturges has an inside leg of 44in at 7ft7 if (theoretically) my legs grew to the same length I would also be about 7ft7

So logically I've got the body of a 7ft person and the legs of a 5ft person haha!!
