What do you think of my proportions here?
« on: October 15, 2015, 11:53:42 AM »

I've asked this before but that picture wasn't so good.
Please note:
-I know the picture isn't like most peoples', in their underwear and all but those are impractical. I wanted you guys' opinions on how I'll look normally.
-The picture is taken from a lower angle so makes the upper body look smaller. It's mainly to see what you think of my femur:tibia proportions. I'm honestly not worried about having long legs or short arms or such.

In the first picture I'm 5'2, in the second, 5'5.

Thanks! ;D

I think second pic looks really good. Would be better if it was shirtless so we can see the whole body.

Thank you! I'll try that sometime. This just feels way more practical.

Your width is OK, but the issue is your leg and arm length. I would recommend something between 5-7CM but I would have to see you in shoes with pants on to say for sure.

Meaning my arms are short? Eh, I'm fine with that.
Also in this picture, the camera might make the whole upper body(+arms) look smaller than they are.

Yes and you legs will look long in shoes, I think you will be ok though but definitely don't go above 7CM.

I have a short wingspan and so my arms will look a bit short after surgery. I've decided to accept it since Dr. Franz said humerus lengthening might affect hand function -and I just can't risk that.

Regardless, I prefer having short arms from being short overall.

I feel the same way as you. And arm lengthening is overkill to the max.
My wide shoulders should cover up my short arms and small hands to an extent.

Yes, width is more important as long as your arms aren't ridiculously short. Still if there is ever a way to safely increase arm length I will be first in line, same with hand size.

I agree about the hand size lol. At least yours aren't 6.5 inches..

I see a few naturally tall people with pretty short looking arms each day. It's not the norm but it is definitely naturally occurring.

Its not the best picture to compare because of thr clothes but i can see that you have short femurs and long tibia. You definitely look better in the second pic. Your arms are short but doing only femurs that will not be a problem

Yeah, I agree. It would take a REALLY observant non-LL person to notice someone has short arms or even care about it.

Was going for a more practical situation/picture. And thanks!

My wingspan is 5'4. If I had longer arms/hands it would've been 5'5 or 5'6 lol.
