Internal-only is better than LON, but it's a lot more expensive.  If you're rich, get internals.  If you're not rich, get LON.

better because you don't need to wear bulky external frames , no chance of pin infection ,easy to hide.

IMO a plus point of the LON -and by extension of any external method- is being weight bearing during distraction phase. Even if you can only walk 50 or 100 meters daily, with crutches and at turtle speed. Being confined to a wheelchair for 2 or 3 months would be devastating for me, both physically and mentally.
