In my case,
All my family members (even distant relatives) and almost all of my closest friends know that I'm doing LL. They haven't judged me for it, they were only concerned for my health. Today one of my friends called, I couldn't answer him immedately (like I always do) since I was at the hospital in the x-ray room. I later called him in the day, first thing he said was "I thought you were dead" jokingly
People sent flowers, cakes, even chocolate-dipped strawberries. I felt grateful and a bit ashamed after all the pampering gestures. It's not an accident after all, no matter how difficult the journey is, I can't deny it's a cosmetic surgery.
My ex girlfriend said "You're a psychopath", at which I laughed, and thanked for the compliment
I hope to share my experiences after recovery extensively. Such as,
- How will my other friends (whom I haven't seen for 3 years) react?
- Will people say "You look taller!" or "Have you lost weight?"
- How will I feel about it?
Considering that a friend of mine (a girl) said "You look taller with your new haircut!" a couple years ago when I started wearing 1-inch insoles inside my shoes, my prediction is that a 3-inch gain is impossible not to get attention.
