Help ballerina.
« on: September 27, 2015, 12:22:19 PM »

Hello everyone , I'm lengthening my tibias with externals and now I have reached about 4.5 .I had an infection and could not stretch and walk for a week ,after it went better I noticed that I have a little ballerina. Can I still lengthen to 8 Cm?  Will it get worse if lengthen. Is there any way I can lengthen and not get more ballerina than this.

Yeah, best to ask your doctor for the final word.  My opinion on the matter is that you're probably fine.  Everyone can recover from mild ballerina.

Hello, daily stretching and physiotherapy is very important to prevent further development of ballerina.
I recommend you to use a night splint to keep the feet in a 90 degree position. There has to be permanent stretching during hours.
Please note, that ballerina (pes equinus) isn't an easy thing, especially when there is a big amount of ballerina.
After lengthening, I had 5-6 cm of ballerina and needed approximately 1 year to recover from it completly (one feet was faster, about 8-9 month), and I did 1-2 hour of stretching/day during 6-8 month.

Greetings Morpheus

Thank's everyone , I'd just asked my doctor and told about my ballerina. My doctor told me to stop lengthening for 1 week and only do stretching during this time to relax the soft tissues. I will continue with the lengthening. It's mostly my fault at first I didn't take stretching seriously , it's now I finally realise it's serious.
