Who offers it and have their been any confirmed reports/studies of it being used? Any compiled averages for success rates or complications?

The nail was going to be available in Europe and then America. It was full weight bearing(:o) and would cost a lot.

That's all I know.

Link's broken, repeat.

It seemed to have come out in 2011 or '12. Either it died, or that was the idea and the nails will come out sometime.

What the initial post said, this is from the company themselves:

An overdue update on the Impress System:
Since early 2007 Intramed Systems (ISL) has dedicated itself to offering patients requiring limb elongation a superior alternative to current distractors.
Initially, ISL's goal was to benefit those suffering from devastating bone loss situations such as excisions due to bone malignancies, post-trauma and so forth.  Over ten thousand such procedures are conducted each year, definitely not a major market but surely one that has been aching for better equipment.  With the development of the Impress System it became apparent that an entire under-the-radar aesthetic market was taking shape.  Totally unplanned, the Impress turned out to be well suited for this market and further effort was made to make it user friendly and least debilitating.
Throughout this period the company received technical input and learned all there was to learn about the subject from leading surgeons.  By late 2009 the company had taken a full swing in setting the aesthetic market as its primary.  This need was further realized by this community.  By late 2010 ISL had nearly completed development of the Impress which included truly unprecedented mechanics.  However, by early 2011 the company went into hibernation mode due in part to a belief that the aesthetic market could not support the Impress.
For those who waited for the Impress, who kept asking questions and requested updates - thank you.
Good luck and all the best.
