Hi guys, I'm new here from Malaysia and I've been recently looking into lengthening to fix my 3cm femur discrepancy with the PRECICE method.
I emailed Dr. Lee twice through different channels. There is an English team and a Korean team email so make sure you sent it to the right one. I sent my first email through their website and waited for a month with no result and emailed again to the english email I saw on Youtube. In the end after a week I did not get a reply. My Korean friend called the hospital up to see if they got my email and they finally replied me today (roughly a week after the phone call). They said to my friend that all emails are being replied by oldest to newest but they were willing to look into my email earlier.
I inquired about the PRECICE method and LON method to know the price difference and here is the new price breakdown as of today 15 Sept 2021.
Femur Lengthening PRECICE : 56,700,000KRW
Tibia Lengthening PRECICE : 60,900,000KRW
Tibia Lengthening LON ( include external fixator removal op): 32,550,000KRW
These prices include:
- Surgeon and Anesthesiologist fees
- Surgery assistant fees
- Implant costs
- All hospital charges that related to the surgery
- Analgesics (pain meds) and other meds related to the surgery
- Hospitalisation fees
- 7 nights in 4 pax shared room
- Meals during hospitalisation
- 70 times of physical therapy
Price does not include:
- Initial consultation and pre-op assessment fees
-ERC rental fee (PRECICE only)
- Personal caretaker
- Accomodation and transport
- Food and other supplies in Korea
- Additional physical/hydro therapy
- Additional outpatient visit/x-ray fees after discharged
- Ankle screw removal for tibia lengthening
They quoted me an additional pricing WITHOUT the 70 times physical therapy
PRECICE: 53,900,000KRW
LON: 25,550,000KRW
I think the price has gone down but it is still too expensive for me to afford as I come from a 3rd world country, this amount would take me 4 times more time and effort to achieve. I won't be able to get this surgery done any time soon. I am looking at more affordable options in Turkey but I am still unconvinced. If anyone has any recommendations, please send me the URL.
