How do you pay for LL cost?
« on: January 08, 2014, 10:57:28 AM »

Hello guys, especially those who did surgeries with Beijing or Salameh.

How do you pay for this large amount of money for LL?

I am a US citizen and from what I know we shouldn't be carrying more than 10,000 USD cash outside US and for China we shouldn't bring more than 5,000 USD cash.

There also are daily limit bank transfer...

so, how did you pay your costs?

Contact your bank and they will let you go over the daily limit transfer, you may have to visit a branch. When you contact them if the person you speak to doesn't know about this then ask for the supervisor (or someone else) because some of them don't know.

Also people rarely get caught for taking over $10k.
You can check if the hospital accepts Visa/Mastercard and can pass it onto the doctor.
Don't use cheque. It took like 3 months once to cash a foreign check. They told me that they could forward me the funds immediately (banks money) but if it was declined by the senders bank then they will ask for it back — it takes a long time because the process involves mailing the actual check back to the original bank (in another country) for verification.
