Salemxfix VS TSF
« on: May 29, 2015, 11:41:57 PM »

Which one is better, to do ?  Just wondering I really am leaning towards Salem device as the better one, but the TSF seems like a good one as well.

Where can you find info on the Salemfix device? Is it just an external monorail?

The TSF is the absolute best external device because it allows constant minute corrections for alignment. The only ways to end up misaligned after TSF are: (1) Get a nonunion, (2) Take off the frame too early and bend the bone, or (3) Doctor doesn't know how to read xrays.

There's a guy on this site doing TSF in India as we speak. He's got a thread in the patient experiences forum.

Of course it´s better than the device mitkovic uses, a misaligment like the on of descreteuser wouldn´t happen with the TSF frame. This explains the much higher price to conventional external devices.

oh sorry i meant to ask is it better than the standard external fixators that barinov would use.

and also what about the distraction rate, how can it be higher with TSF, i thougth 1/mm a day was bad news for tibia.
