These alpha/beta height charts/discussions are hilarious. Programdude is now 5'11 (180cm I think?), and probably gets more women than every guy on this site combined. I never had trouble dating when I was a little over 5 freaking 5! I only want to be 5'9 (5'8 now) because the rods already in me have another inch on em, and 5'9" is super close to average.
I personally think LL for guys with start heights of 5'10" and up is pure vanity and a little insane (it's not just like a nose job, we are breaking healthy bones here, hello). Even if you try to make the argument that your dad is 6'1 and you wanted to be that tall or taller than your dad (which I somewhat understand), you're still taller than just about every woman (even in heels) and taller than around 50% of men, if not more than that.
Some of the most alpha guys I know are like 5'8", no joke, and they are swimming in women. I think once a guy is around average (5'9-5'10), maybe even a little below average, facial aesthetics and body start being the deciding factor, unless the woman in question is a super heightist who has height as the first and most important thing on her list. Girls that like that meant to be pumped and dumped anyway, as women THAT superficial will just leave you when a better looking/taller/richer, etc. guy comes along.
I understand that LL may be slowly becoming like just any other plastic surgery (at least in the minds of many guys on here), but I think the original intent of it was for men who were very, very short. Dr. Paley, even though he doesn't have height requirements, even said he had trouble doing the surgery for a Swedish guy that was 5'11 (even if that's short for Sweden).
But money talks...and as long as you go to these doctors with an open wallet, you can become 7ft if you want. And if that's what you want...who am I to talk? But I just think conversations like these and the (seemingly) increasing number of average or even borderline tall guys wanting LL is defeating the original purpose. But live and let live!
