After reading diaries on the prices of LL I have found 4 doctors that offer 'affordable' (sub €14,000') LL for this year.

Dr Bagirov €6500 operation only.

Dr mitkovik €9300 operation only, hotel is €500 per month

Dr. Barinov €12,500 for externals or €14,500 for lon/latn
price includes 3 months stay

Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center in Kurgan €14,000 includes 4 months stay in 8 bed ward, one diary does not recommend this.

if anyone knows any other doctors please advise

Be very careful with who you go to.. You should heavily research each doctor and hear of past patients experienced before making your decision.. Remember you generally get what you pay for..

your right he is only 2,6000, wow. Just need to check what hotels are an option and such.

sadly only appears to me one diary for him in the doctors section.

His crededntials are pretty solid imo, the only downsides are the language barrier and the fact that it's not easy to get a russian visa.

is there not an issue with no local hotels or accommodation available, in which case you will need to spend a lot of money staying in the hospital.

but yeah only 1 diary, I hope others go to him so we can understand more about him.

'The surgery was around 3000$ with externals and 10-day hospital stay included. Keep in mind they might have different prices for international patients.'

hmmm, so yeah they may be upcharging international patients, will need clarification on that.

~$5000 for surgery and 3 weeks stay
~50$ per day in 4 person room

hospital is pricey though, I haven't' seen any posts about hotels or apartments.

looks like solomin and Bagirov are pretty close price wise, I guess it depends on accomodation, I will read the associated diaries to make my decision.

Yes, Bagirov only offers 7 days stay in the hospital , after that 80 dollar per night or you could go home and lengthen.
I'm going to have my LL in 2 months with Dr.Bagirov. Let me hear from you which doctor you are going to have LL with.

I think this diary he planned to go home for lengthening, and if anything went wrong he would get flight back

Yes, he flied home to Sweden I think and continue lengthen at home, during the time in Sweden he went to a clinic if i'm not wrong.
During his LL he only had minor infections. I asked the clinic of re-surgery and they said it was free of charge and for that money you could spend for the plane ticket instead.
This is only what I have planned. For where I live here in Thailand , I don't need any Visa if I stay less than 30 days. I only need to fly to Russia when I want and register.

so did he go to his local Orthopaedic surgeon in case something went wrong, or did he fly back to russia if something went wrong

also i thought your mobility was very poor after surgery, so how did getting on the plane and such like work.

Looks like we have 4 options

Mitkovic £6500    + £1500   aftercare

Barinov £9000 inc. 3 months stay

Bagirov £4500, unknown about aftercare fees.

Solomin £3000   incl. 3 weeks in hospital + £1000 for 2 months more aftercare

this assumes you are lengthening here, and returninghome for consolodation.

After reading the horror stories on bagirov from 2 diaries I think we can cross him off the list.

Really Mitkovic & Barinov are the only two doctors we know are good.

Solomin is an unknown really.

It has always been 14 500 € for LON or LATN. And it has always been 12 500 € for externals.
There is no rise of price.

Dr Mitkovic is my likely choice. Nicely furnished apartments are available close to the hospital for about 180 Euros per month upwards depending on size. Believe there is also a possibility that apartments specifically for LL patients will be available at some point in 2016. The city itself seems reasonably affluent at least from Google Earth and the climate isnt too bad. I doubt there is any cheaper accomodation available with any other doc for those like myself who plan on staying full time till consolidation is finished.

Is Dr. Sarin still in business? I have read so many diaries of his and apparently only one patient failed and that was in the femur!

It's 14500 euros for everything. No 12500 euros anymore. So prices have increased. You will struggle to get a longer than 3 month visa as well.
