hey at least you are in a good place! im sure relocating would be a bit harder with factors keeping you in your current country. i think the big advantage you have is you already got the happy family so its not like your doing it for extrinsic factors like love life. youre just doing it for yourself.

have you talked to your wife about your height neurosis? what did she think?

Thanks for the encouraging words! Yes, I’d certainly do it only because of my own vanity. I don’t have any real disadvantages because of my height.

I haven’t talked to her yet because I’m still trying to figure out if I really want to do CLL. If I were single, I’d do it immediately, but I also need to think about what’s best for my family.

Even though it sucks to be 180 cm in a place where most guys my age are > 185 cm, I don’t want to go back. I have a beautiful wife and kid, and we all feel comfortable living here. But I’m pretty sure I could get my obsession with height under control if we moved to a country where the average male height is between 175 and 178 cm.

if u was single w/o kids u wud love it in america

Dis the stupidest shiet Eva. Why not move to fukin pygmie tribe while ur at it. Why not move to a 4th world country from a 1st world also. Just fulkk urself up ya 😂 learn a whole aass language tooo

You haven’t traveled much, have you? You’d be surprised at how high living standards are in countries like Japan. I have an uncle who moved to Japan many years ago, and he lives a great life there. Of course it was difficult for him to learn a new language (his native language is English), but being able to speak multiple languages is a huge advantage regardless of where you live, so I don’t understand why you think it’s such a weird thing to do. It’s certainly not weirder than having your legs broken and sacrificing at least some of your athleticism. Believe it or not, but some people even move to other countries just because they want to broaden their horizon or move up the career ladder.

I studied in the US and could easily find work there, but I wouldn’t want to live in the US permanently.

I wouldn't even be average height in Japan, 2 goddamn inches under actually. It's great ur 180cm but you gotta realize you're in the minority of people who actually want this surgery when u are 180cm. No problems with that, but not everybody is your height, so mind shud be more open. People are talking about traveling to fking Laos and Cambodia lmfao (even here I'm legit just average), southeast Asia malnourished impoverished areas that are third world, not Japan a first world that is technologically and societally ahead of 99% of countries

And I fking love Japan. Been there twice.   t's way better than the US. Pretty much everything, except the work culture

Regardless America is my home. I will live here forever, don't wanna actually give a fucck bout comparing myself to others but it's done subconsciously and unwillingly for me when I'm like a head shorter than every dude I see. I love America, don't want to move to a shiethole nation or learn a new country and language, leave all my family behind, leave all my friends behind, leave everything I know behind and start over just to cure my height neurosis.

So would I rather break my fking legs like a psycho instead of move to a diff country and just throw my whole life out the window? yeah I would actually, judge me IDGAF

If u were 165 I bet my momma u wuldnt move to Laos or Cambodia LMFAO. U r blessed to have the privilege of saying that moving to the USA wkll increase your height percentile becuz u 180cm . U are blessed to be a giant if you move to Japan. If I move to Japan im still fkin bottom 15% percentile in height hahaa. If I move to a shiethole like Laos I literally average height!

U are blessed that if u do move, then moving countries for you, will make you be considered tall as fk even if u move to a country with 175 average like the USA.. Because if actual short people do it, we still short  even if we move to fking Cambodia hahahaha!

I have mental illness now from trying to justify to a 180cm guy why I wouldn't want to move to a shiethole nation and leave my entire family and friends behind, as well as having to clarify that moving to Japan still makes me below average, and that I'm unfortunately not even 165cm tall

Im gonna take a break, probably need a long one. Mann I spend way too much time here and get too heated now.

Y'all 180cm people literally have not stopped into our shoes at all. Y'all really don't know   about relating to us. U can be shorter than avg in your country, but y'all will never feel what it feels like to be in the body of a literal middle schooler at 165cm and under.

fk me man fk this shiet Im getting therapy . Height neurosis has absolutely torn my life apart. Such a superificial trait, dat somehow makes me so upset even though there's nothing wrong with being short, legit nothing

fk it hiatus

I’m very sorry, but I really didn’t mean to judge you. I don’t want to move to Japan either and would rather do CLL. But I just wanted to say that I totally understand why some people choose to move to shorter countries to cure their height neurosis.

And I didn’t mean to compare my situation to your situation either. Again, I was just trying to say that I understand why some people move to shorter countries just to feel more comfortable with their height (my uncle is 165 cm, by the way).
