Do you lose height after LL for External/Internal?

So after your done lengthening your targeting length how much height can you lose after your done? or do you retain it all?

I believe you can lose some height with external methods during consultation. I don't believe this happens with internals. If it does, I'd imagine it would be a very negligible amount.

From what I've been told the loss is negligible even with externals. At most subsidence can cause a loss of 3 or 4 mm. Most cases where it was said height was lost after surgery are likely just errors in measuring the x-rays, and I think one study about height loss even mentioned that as a point they didn't consider in their study. It's probably the case for those who thought they lengthened a certain amount with LON and still ended up shorter than they thought they'd be by a cm or two.
