Hello all,

I can say right up front, the only reason I want to be taller and the reason I'm not satisfied with my height is because I feel that I'm not an optimal height for attracting girls/women.

The reasons others may want to be taller can be much different, or maybe the same.

If you answer the poll, please elaborate in a bit more detail on your answer by responding to this post.

I'm just curious about the driving factors for others. I think this might give us all some insight into our own thought processes, and the thought processes of others.

For me, it partially is women. I have gotten a handful of complaints from parties and such that I'm "too short" and, while you can't satisfy everyone, it still feels like crap.

Im just saying a six-footer who wants a few more inches for the sake of women is wasting his time. Because the stats show he has an ideal height, already.

No, it's not only for women, far from it, i just want to walk in the street and not to focuse on my height.

I think you should stop thinking in a binary way, it's not because you're a bit taller or a bit shorter, than what has been concluded as the perfect height that  women will  turn their back, and i even think that it's better to be taller than the perfect height than shorter (and btw the ideal height is i think somewhere between 185 and 192 cm)
I wonder wether you're really 25 years old and studying medicine, you sound very childish sometimes

Endomorphisme, can you please elaborate on these reasons? You were legit TALL already, and the dream height of many many men.

I think in your case being taller will not improve looks, athletic performance, or dating success, and you already look down upon 70-75% of US men.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you are probably the tallest person on his forum, so many people are very curious as to why you are here in the first place

I'm not from the us, i'am french, i don't know how i would feel there, but i believe there are some regions in the us where i would be average or below average, such as the midwest, i heard people are very tall there.
Btw, i'm not just average or below average, but the average height is almost 180 cm for young people, i spent my time observing height and based on those observations i concluded that i was barely above average, which implies that i'm often short and often towered i just hate that.
I think i'm one of the tallest on the forum (i remember there is someone who is 185 cm though) but i won't end up the tallest.

-you don't need to be a scientist to see if someone is shorter or taller, most people fail when they try to guess someone's height, because they don't know to do it:if someone's eye lever is higer than yours, he is taller, else he is shorter.Plus i remember you overestimate the average height too, while their are official datas for your country, based on conscription, which means everyone has been measured through a medical examination, which also means the average height is not skewed.In france the offcial average is 175.6 cm, for men between 18 and 7 years, but only 5000 men were measured, coming from all the country, from every ethnics, such a representative sample.

no it's for men who are between 18 and 70 years, and it was 10 years ago.
I don't know what is the average height for 18 years old

but since france is as developed as America perhaps the average is not 5 cm taller.
as far as the American and Danish data etc shows, the average probably went up at most 0.9 cm over decades....
there must be some data, eg, universities, or military exam or even hospital data. I think u can try finding

I agree with this. Never had trouble with women, and I was never really called short by more than maybe one or two that I can think of (unless we're counting online dating, where I'm sure many women passed on me because of my height). Another thing that annoyed me was getting back-hand compliments from women like "You're the only short guy I would ever date" or "I normally don't date short guys, but you're cute enough that I'll make an exception for you." I think to myself "Don't do me any favors! If what you really want is a tall guy, go find one!" It's all good, because I still bagged most of these girls...lol.

Don't like working for it or being doubted consistently. Its annoying.

Example would be i had an argument recently for my return flight from Cancun with a manager. i got a Google notification that the flight was delayed 6 hours. So instead of going to the airport me and my friend hung out at the hotel for a little longer and spent more time at the beach. so later we came to the airport and found out they wouldn't let us check in since they closed "there systems" even though there was 2 1/2 hours left before takeoff. I complained and was pretty aggressive blaming the company for there policy but the guy seemed offended and took it to heart by feeling a guy like me talking to "down" him. Guess he didn't like someone younger or looks like a kid talking "down" to him. Made him feel inferior and took offense to it. Anyways my 6'4 friend played the good cop role, calmed things down, asked nicely,  and they finally let us on the flight. (before the guy was just trying to get us to leave it literally took the guy 5 minutes to check us in fking lazy mother fker)

one part of it was really funny when my friend went off to the bathroom he turned around telling me to shhh (you know finger on his mouth thing) and the guy looked at me angry and was like "you see that...your friend smart..you shut up" trying to intimidate me (inside i wanted to bust out laughing but i had to be smart and just let this one go and look like i felt bad for yelling at the guy since we are getting on our flight).

But honestly height seems to determine respect and you don't get taken as seriously as you should. That's my one big problem with it and why i am willing to dish out an absurd amount of money to not deal with this crap anymore.

For me it would be like a dream come true, I always wanted to be tall since I was a child. When I found out that my growth plates were already close when I was around 6-8cm's away from my goal I was crushed. Then I found this forum and decided to do this, since it's the only way (I don't like the idea of wearing lifts) to get the height you want.
So being tall is the reason for me.
