Pictures of disproportionate tall people
« on: March 08, 2015, 03:36:18 PM »

Hello All,

So I decided to do a bit of a scavenger hunt. I wanted to find pictures of naturally tall people (5' 11" and up for the sake of this discussion) who had body proportions that were off. I focused on wingspan (negative ape index) and torso height / total height (short torso).

I think these pictures will give a glimpse to some people who are considering LL as to what they would their proportions would look like after, and also proves that there is tremendous variation in body proportions found in nature.

I encourage anyone else to add pictures to this collection.

Enjoy....

This one is Chris Lytle (5' 11" with 5' 8" reach) and Brian Ebersole (6' height with just over 6' reach).

Here is Conan O'Brien (6' 4") who appears to have a short torso and slightly short arms compared to his legs and overall height.

Here is UFC fighter Max Holloway (5' 11" with 5' 10" reach). At this slightly negative ape index, it is hardly noticeable, and practically undetectable, especially because he looses wingspan from his narrow shoulders.

Finally, the great, Rocky Marciano (5' 11" with 5' 8" reach). You can see the huge difference in humerus length compared to Joe Louis (6' 2" with slightly over 6' 2" reach)

Poor Conan does have short, frail-boned arms

There really isn't much of a difference between the traits that make a male proportionally attractive and the things that make a male a great leg lengthening candidate. Large ribcage and long clavicle bones so you wont have that torso on stilts effect,  long arms so they dont get dwarfed by your leg length, and short legs being self explanatory.

Ever heard the saying that the swimmer's build is the most attractive on males? Swimmers have short legs/long torsos(hard to determine which without exact measurements) long arms, and wide shoulders.

I don't know about that dude, I'd say the guy third from the right (the tallest guy) has the best build out of all of them even though his torso is shorter than the guy to his right

I think you're just being halo effected because he is the  tallest and one of the best looking of the group. It's pretty hard to tell from an angle who has the best build, you really need a frontal shot to figure that out. Also the point wasn't that the longest torso'd male is the most attractive proportionally. Just to show that all these guys have more or less similar ratios.

Never cared for the swimmer's build at all. I like the guy in my profile picture far better (5'7 Eugen Sandow).

If he was to shred another 10-15 pounts he would smoke the other dudes by far. this goes to show that guys 5'6 and over can reach 6'0 with ease.

No way a 5'6 guy can reach 6ft with ease, it's possible that's for sure but he will have major losses in function and will probably look like a freak.
You can't look proportionale after almost 16cm's. 10 seems to be the upper limit before you start to look weird (even less for some).

Lol
Apo is a guy who makes money with advertising LL do you really think he'd tell anyone about his problems? Come on don't be so naive. He did humerus lengtheing as well and he still doesn't look good at all, you can easily tell that there's something wrong with his proportions. His sitting height is 88cm's if I remember correctly, mine is around 98 and I'm only 179.
His legs are waaay too long for a guy of his statue. His running looks weird as well. He probably has the legs of a 7'1 guy.

He makes money off his buisness and LL on the side he is a scum rat but that is not the point at this time, also thats why he is starring in a new hollywood movie and gets tons of chicks that guy? i bet he is doing better than both of us and much better at 6'3 than 5'6. Rest my case.

I looked at his proportions and i see nothing major wrong with his proportions obviously they are not that of a normal 6'2 guy but good enough to the untrained eye.

You are being naive with your measurements, this totally concludes the point that the only difference between a normal sized tall man and a short man is leg length. Simple as that. And also arms to an extent but that is way overrated especially when it comes to benefits. and his legs are just fine just a little bit on the longer side :). remember his legs was SHORT for his torso in the begining now they are long for his torso.

14CM is not at all something that can be achieved with ease. It is possible if one lengthens 7CM in each segment but very few people will look proportionate after that. I've got roughly the same proportions as anyone else my height and I can barely do half as much before I start to look disproportionate.

Few people will look good after 10CM, never mind 14.

What movie is he in? Tons of chicks, did he write it on his forum  ;D?
I understand why you desperatly try to not see anything wrong with his proportions, I'd do the same if I was his height.
I never said it's impossible, it was the way you said it. It's simply wrong that it can be done with ease, it's never easy and defenitly far from easy when doing 16cm's.
You will look weird in my eyes and I'm sure many others would notice it as well.
I unterstand your desire to be tall but it's just unrealistic, read the diaries and you'll get an idea of the permanent losses you will suffer from. Even if the gained amounts are far from 16cm's.
Forget about your sportive performance and your looks because you'll look weird as fk.

Stop trashing Apo The God. He looks fine.

Also 98 cm SH for your height means 0.55 SH/H ratio, which is actually even more unusual than SH/H ratio of the God Apo. His SH is 93 cm, which gives him 0.495 SH/H ratio. According to this: http://adc.bmj.com/content/90/8/807.full your ratio of 0.55 SH/H is at +2.5 SD, while Apo The God is just at -1 SD. Wow you're a freak! Lol jk.

But seriously stop trashing fellow limb lengtheners for the sole reason of rationalizing your own lengthening goals. You're just being a bitch.

I never said it's impossible, but saying it's easy is just bs. It's a fact that the more you lengthen the more you will loose in terms of function. Every trustworthy Dr. will tell you about this phaenomenon.
Hardly anyone will look decent after this amount of lengthening that's simply undeniable. All you need is a pic of Apo standing next to a normal guy his height, the dispropornality will be quit obvious.

No crap you will loose more function the more you lengthen, who even mentioned that it wasnt hard?.  And i doubt that anyone else will try to lengthen the amount that apo did. But that does not neglect the fact that it is doable and it can "easily" be pulled off in the rights clothes hell even in undies for that matter as long as you got the arms and torso to cover for it.

6'0 is not really tall, its just above average height. And if you look at the average dude at 5'9-5'10 they all look small and tiny, while guys 5'7 and under just look short.

So when you "break" that 6'0 barrier you are now officialy filled out-full-cartoon proportions can be made etc etc.

But by no mean are the 6'0 proportionally superior beings, they are just small dudes with way to long legs. Just as we will have or already have long legs. but not the required wingspan to cover up the desired height you wanna shot for.

td:lr you dont know wtf youre talking about.

I don´t understand a word of what you´re talking about. Express yourself clearly please. I still don´t think it can be pulled easily, we had so many discussions here on this forum about this topic. If it could be pulled of easily there wouldn´t have been so many topics about proportions.
Anyways, go ahead with your goal, in my oppinion I´m just being realistic. 10 cm´s should be the upper limit if you want to preserve the majority in form and function.
Just imagine what will happen when Apo will get older, he already has the body of an old man in terms of function, once his body starts downsizing he will be in deep trouble.
I really didn´t want to offend you, it was just the way you said "with ease" that made me wonder.

If you got the proportions then you can do it if you dont you cant do it. What is it that you dont get?. stop be a asperger syndrome kid and take everything i take on face value and see the underlining thought behind my words. Either that or you are a troll. That is like a 4 inch difference sitting height which is ok. Every half inch on sitting height makes a huge difference on one's height and percentile.

What do you guys think about this new super model. She's Molly Bair, a 6'1 17 years old school girl.
I'm not exactly sure whether she cualifies as disproportionate or just long frames.

@Taller You mean the guy on the right? His arms are quite short for his height, very interesting.

Here's another guy with long legs, his torso almost looks smaller than mine except for his longer arms obviously.

I mean the guy on the far right. He has exceptionally long tibiae and a short torso.
