Topic: What would you do during your LL surgery? (Read 5721 times)

I am reading basketball books (much more detailed than coaches' notes.. they are really good and helpful), reading textbooks, watching a movie here and there, reading up this interesting stuff called ESP and precognition (yeah they are scientifically proven to a certain extent.. might be quantum theory), the Scoule experiment (basically evidence of the after-life.. quite convincing but I don't know if this is all a fraud).. paranormal investigations (pretty boring. nothing like exorcism and poltergeists in movies.. pretty mundane), watching random medical documentaries (eg, narcolepsy, the man who ate himself to death)... I teach students a few days a week, for some side income.. that is about all.

any ideas of what I can do at home? I don't play games and I am so bored.!! thinking of (renting) getting a mobility scooter to use public transport and move around instead of being at home most of the time....

iv researched all those things you have spoken about. but its not the kind of thing I will talk about.

all I will say is the government pays careful attention to it and intends to use it for major social engineering.

there are many things people need to learn first before those things anyway.

yea man computer and whatsapp are my best friends... u know im flirting with some girls (some ive met, some i hve not) using OLD PICTURES and saying im here and there but they don't know im actually bed-ridden... that's actually pretty fun especaily when we talk dirty sometimes.. haha..

there's indeed pretty strong evidence of the afterlife, and all... major univeristies are researching it and some even conclude there is some evidence.. and some projects just closed down suddenly at some major universities (conspiracy? govt interest?)
its sooooo boring but I wouldn't say its a waste of time.. rather, it is a good break from medical sch... med sch sucks...

yea bro.... games pass time like soooo fast its like cocaine (not that ive tried it but I was medically under ketamine once..and time flies)
I don't usually do games cos I think it kinda wastes time.. rather read books, or learn something from youtube..
I have been reading so much on the net like mh370, mh17, Russia's space shuttle program, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Russian bombers terorrising Britain.. haha! I haven't had so much time in my life.
chatting with girls whom I've met (some of them don't know I am crippled now) and sending them pictures I took like months ago.. and saying its now

This is your chance to learn a new language. don't you have that girl roommate to practice with? check if shes down. Learn programming or develop a new hard skill. Dont piss away your time you wont get it back. Being bored is your body telling to start doing to make yourself better that's why the feeling sucks.

Im reading basketball books but reading basketball is boring when you cant play it for many months to come. I feel so bored. Alright I shall learn some Korean and Russian. Since I go there often.

For the first month I suffered/sat in a shower reading a book.

After that I swam, watched youtube videos/movies/shows, and had girls over.

Because of the discomfort, nothing is ever 100% enjoyable.

And yeah, I wonder the same too. I wouldn't feel like meeting girls in a bad situation like LL is. I will be in pain etc.. But video games could help, they kill a lot of time. I also watch random youtube vids but for some reason I am kinda bored to watch movies.

The fact that you read is a good idea. I wish I could do that but I never had patience with books.

Reading and even watching movies is almost impossible first month. It took me the whole month to even complete one short book.

As for girls, the first time I had one over wasn't so great due to discomfort. Later it became good though. Them taking care of you both in the bed and in other ways is nice after so much pain, and especially since you are in isolation. It was nice just being totally forthcoming and laughing with them about how crazy what I was doing was, having drinks made for me(alcohol and sex does work a bit to put you to sleep), having someone spend the night with you a few times a week.

Though it certainly isn't the ideal, since when it comes to sex you will be reminded of some of your limitations(though you have less than you may think), but I found it to be a great way to mix things up. And yes I did internals.

I met two girls so far, and I am with ex-fix. I just say its an accident.
the trick is to make them really really love you, and then ask them to come over, after an "accident" (note: send them pics of you standing and socialising normally and then BAM suddenly you have an accident). Chances are they will understand your situation is temporary and stuff will happen

I was just wondering about the swimming part. But I can swin one month after I start consolidation, according to my surgeon. (EX-fix)

I could have read, and I did read during the first month (I read a book on habits). I think different people are affected differently. I had decent sleep, most time I am in analgesia. I only feel so so bored.

Were you doing femur internals?

Tricking girls that you had an accident lol. That's not a bad idea actually, but hey if it passes your time and it's fun why not?!

Why is it impossible to read and watch movies the first month? Too uncomfortable maybe?

I even got them to buy food for me, borrow basketball books from the library and photocopy one of the books..so sweet.. cos I've had a very bad accident

and yeah we had lots of fun and good times together (she stayed over)

I wish I could have been like PD and had girls/sex during LL. I just can't imagine being able to perform well enough to even fully pleasure myself, let alone the chick. I feel like, aside from having them just "take care" of you, I wouldn't like it much.

It depends though, you should also be careful. I remember a guy who had to do a surgery abroad and he used to invite girls over and such. One of the girls robbed him for example. I can imagine so many other things that could happen. Not to mention that you are weak during LL, it's not like you can run lets say lol.

Really? Early on getting oral wasn't that great due to pain meds and being a bit off, but once I was past that it, and them on top was great, and even being on top for a little while was fine too. If you are 100% honest then they will understand your situation and obviously be ok with it if they are coming by.

I saw some pretty attractive Indian women wearing semi-revealing sarees. Too bad I'd probably get my ass beat if I tried to get an escort to stop by my room, India being super conservative and all when it comes to sex. Probably would have helped with the restless nights.

I just like to be fully confident and in control of the situation. I guess with some girls, if they were nice about it, I wouldn't mind them just being on top and taking care of me that way. I have a few in mind that I think would be down that I might call.
