« on: February 01, 2015, 08:58:57 PM »

I was researching different dead-lift stances, and I found an article that may be of interest to you guys:

Scroll down to the infographic about arm and torso length.

I skimmed through the article.  Did it say how many people were measured to determine average?

What were your percentages?

I don't know, according to that table I have either very long arms or almost extremely short ones depending on wether or not they include hand length.

Hand length is always included.

Really? You're measuring from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of your middle finger, right?

Mine are similiar--about 43% of my nighttime height.

Yes but it's strange because my armspan is only 174CM, maybe I have small shoulders?

I think that might be it, fortunately my hips are quite small as well so it looks pretty decent anyway I'd say.

My shoulders are actually pretty broad, so this is also curious to me. Perhaps since the arm length measurement includes the shoulders, broadness might actually contribute to arm length.

You mean armspan?

Yeah that's obviously part of it, both arm length and shoulder width are important but the shoulders can at least be improved upon by packing on mass.

No, I actually meant arm length, at least as measured in the said way.
