Motivation Leg length
« on: January 29, 2015, 06:10:26 PM »

This is Simeon Panda 6'1" (185 cm), a famous bodybuilder I think that he has very long legs and if someone smaller would do lengthening would resemble something like that or not? The thing here is that he seems to have a small torso, but very worked.

sorry for this pic but was the best that I could find of him full body length. The legs ends in where the towel ends :p, if you didn't noticed.

Legs are very big too but this shows that you can have diferent proportions and still be normal like him, long limbs and small torso. In the end if you put some mass on it you will look good  :D.

Wingspan is the most limiting factor. Rocky Marciano was 5' 11" with a 5' 8" wingspan, and it looked kinda weird. Very rare to have a negative ape index. Max Holloway is a UFC fighter with a negative ape index (I inch). I think -1 inch is the lowest someone can go without looking "off"

The good news about wingspan though, is that it actually looks better aesthetically (IMO) the closer it is to 1:1 ratio. Look at the UFC fighters Ryan Bader and Jon Jones. I would say that Ryan Bader (1:1) has a bettere physique because his arms aren't too long.

Since many lengtheners have a positive ape index, it actually means that they might have more aesthetically pleasing proportions it they can get the ratio closer to 1:1

His arms are normal though and ours won't be if we lengthen more than maybe 7CM

Yes if you increase your size more than your wingspan, then the next step to improve your proportions is to do a arm lengthening.

just use sites that have 50th 60th and so on percentiles of sitting height or arm length or anything like that if your worried about proportions. id say if your sitting height is below 50th percentile then you wont wanna lengthen to more than 75th percentile height regardless of how long your arms are.

The arms help him look natural and maybe the bodybuilding stretched his wingspan by a few points but who knows what he looked like before bodybuilding, anyone got old photos of him?

Looks fine and he is probably steroid free because of the amount of time it took him to transform, there is a decent time gap between the photos.

I've always believed having an Arm Span close or at your final post LL height is key of you have a short torso. Anyone have an idea what his ratio might be?

Oddly enough, he's probably one of the only famous Bodybuilders above 5'11. Nearly all of the most notable ones, almost without exception, are average height or short.

You responded to my post about Bodybuilders, not fitness models. Which one are we talking about here?

OP said he was a bodybuilder, so I assumed he meant IFBB. But, Simeon Panda still isn't natty at all; his stats rival Arnold, whom was a confirmed steroid user. Read this article: http://nattyornot.com/is-simeon-panda-natural-bodybuilder/

its obvious that he isnt natural . most of the bodybuilders who says that arent.
if he were natty with that muscle mass, when he use steroids he would be the next mr.Olympia

soo the most important is to have the wingspan as same of your height right? Besides off course Simeon is a Steroid User but you won't tell because it will destroy your reputation and fame in a flash

I would say so. The greater your ape index (wingspan/height) pre-lengthening, the more you cab lengthen and maintain good proportions. A 1:1 ratio looks great, a positive ape index doesn't look bad, but a negative one looks bad

Negative ape indexes don't look that bad(yes possitive looks better but @@@@ it) unless it is very negative. With the right jackets in your closet you can give your arms a different shape but you gotta find the right clothes.
