Timeframes for 5cm internal femurs
« on: January 29, 2015, 07:42:05 AM »

I have pretty much decided that my first (and possibly only) round of LL will be 5cm on my femurs in Serbia or Russia. I'm interested in what times you think this will take. Suppose that after about 50 or 60 days I'm finished lengthening. Then how long until I can do full weight bearing? Or could I even walk during lengthening, with minimum support, if the pain isn't too bad? How long to walk normally? I would probably take an LOA from my work and school for a year but it would still be nice if I could recover faster. Also, no one in my family will know about the surgery so I only want to return home with a 100% normal gait.

Not such a good idea to not tell anyone in your family and go to Serbia or Russia on your own unless you're local.

I've never been to Russia so I can't speak for them, but Serbia is a safe country with friendly people.  I've been there multiple times and never had a problem with anything.
