Is reddit spreading misinformation
« on: April 09, 2019, 04:24:04 PM »

What do you guys think of this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/short/comments/bb02ly/lies_and_deception_of_t

It looks like fear mongering. I think a lot of people have great recovery with this. Thoughts?

I'm going to do 5cm with Paley and think it is safe.

I'm usually skeptical as I have yet to see a diary of someone doing +7cm have good recovery, the vids referenced in that post seem ok. If someone can point out what the problem is, I'd be all ears. Like I said, I've seen some people fked up but these all look fine.

If I can handle, I want to do 16 in both segments (8cm each), so I'm one of these morons. I just don't do 10cm on femurs because stryde doesnt allow it. If I can go to the gyn to train my upper body for aesthetically reasons it's ok, I don't give a fk about my athletic ability. If I get really bad arthritis someday, I go to Dignitas clinic.

Those of you who think there are many people with a great recovery are delusional. You want LL so bad that you ignore all the red flags. I'm a former patient, and I can confirm this surgery is not a joke. I know I won't be very popular in this forum but I think LL for cosmetic reasons should be banned. LL should be done ONLY in cases of discrepancies or constitutional short stature (standing height less than 3 standard deviations below the mean). In other cases risks are not worth the possible benefits.

Jesus fk someone didn't clean the sand out of their vag. I ask one clarification on the issue there, no I don't play basketball or run much, and I didn't see an issue with the videos. Calm down you goddamn lunatic.

Firstly, I live in Azerbaijan, I've lived here for 3 years and trust the doctors, and I plan on living here a lot longer. I own a home here and I see the state of their medical facilities. And I've lived in Canada all my life, where the facilities are crammed to the gills. I think I can judge on my own.

Secondly, I have competed in sports all throughout college and have used HGH to train for years. It is incredible for healing, but what do you know about that? Are you a doctor too, as well as a professional troll?

I actually am engaged and my wife takes care of me, so I really don't give a fk about other girls or whatever the rest of your idiotic tirade was about. It's funny how we're the incels when you can't even pump the breaks without objectively having a conversation with someone. Sad.

Easy, easy guy. Calm down, take deep breath, I'm pretty sure, u got so red face.
First of all this guy is living in Azerbaijan so where is ur problem that he decided to have surgery there, using growth hormone, lel I have seen people doing that and they r okay (my cousin who was using when he was 20/21, now he is 33 and he is completely OK). And I guess it's not ur business what someone is doing.
Second thing, I have seen people who did 10-11cm lengthening on one bone (not cosmetically) and they slowly recovering. I have done roughly 7cm on my one limb (again not cosmetically) and want to go for few cm on both limbs. So... well it's not anyone's fault that u r fcking pus.sy and for u something above magical 5-6cm is horror and something impossible, just u don't know enough u braindead walking mockery. Nobody forces u to be here, free way to log out and u don't need to back.

Where can you find that proof? Haven't you realized that many diaries here are full of lies and deception? People don't want to admit they took a bad decision or, even worse, that their doctors are threatening them not to post the truth.
I had LL in Europe. I did 6,5 cm. It's the worst decision I've ever taken.
I agree with you that 5 cm with Doctor Paley is the lesser evil, though.

I think the Reddit post is correct from an outsider looking in but that's just being ignorant.

1. The 3 videos he mentioned, posted above ^ You have to disagree with him. Clearly all 3 of those videos are success stories. The legs moving out of control whilst the guy reaches for his toes is a normal thing. I haven't even done LL yet but my legs do that if I push too much. Whilst doing gymnastics in school, a lot of people's legs would jiggle like that if they forced it too much, the dude in the video is clearly pushing it.

2. Some people on here may genuinely need a reality check, e.g anyone who is over 176cm and is wanting LL is basically the same as someone who has a 4 pack but gets liposuction to get 6. Anyone under 170cm would be right to want LL as they would be below average in every country outside of South Asia.

3. This forum indeed is full of losers but what do you expect? Height is a big factor on what your personality develops as. How often do you meet successful men that aren't comedians etc not every short man has the ability to have a social life at 5'6. In fact a lot of 6'5+ men aren't even be able to be social. BUT, the key thing is that height is the only factor holding most of the people back on this forum. No one is actually anti-social etc.

4. I'm not sure how true the fact is about LL patients have additional cosmetic surgeries but from what I know. No matter what surgery you have, you're more likely to have another. It's human nature, if you've become familiar with something, you're more likely to do it again. There is nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery anyways.

5. I agree a lot of diaries die off and users disappear for long periods of time. But I always make sure to add them on Whatsapp etc to talk to them directly, that way no one ever ignores you. People just stop posting because who's bothered writing a diary through all this unless you enjoy writing. (I do ;) so wait on my diary).

Edit: 6. People like LLShouldBeBanned are clearly Beta Males who are either tall and still insecure about their height so they're just angry with everyone who is doing LL to help themselves or they're someone who's average height that is insecure about other's achieving their height. He/she has obviously never had LL before. There are MORE people on here who are genuinely insecure people who are average height etc but they come on here just to fantasize about what is possible than people who genuinely have an issue with their height.

ned_flanders ur doing LL in Germany with dr Kohne.

ned_flanders please stop lengthening! you not lengthened much still. STOP before something terrible happens!

LL is reserved only for the crazy lot. you ned_flanders have become self-aware by this mutilating surgery and have realized the importance of other traits than height. you have now changed. you now see LL as a disgusting affair and LLers as mentally sick people. if you dont stop lengthening you will look back many years and think how much you ruined your life even though you fully knew what a sick thing you were doing to urself!

i know you dont have a diary here and we dont know what you will do. but please brother, listen to me, stop lengthening. every time you put that magnet (made by a crony capitalist company who wants ur $$$) on ur legs and press the button, I dont know how many leg cells get destroyed - nerves, blood vessels, soft tissue. do you really want to be 20+ years older and have one extra thing to worry about? even if u want to attend ur son's graduation you might have to worry about finding a seat nearby should you get tired standing! u have to think 10 times before going on a 3 hour hike! if some random ache appears, most people will forget about it, but you having done LL will ponder over it for hours and days! imagine random kids asking their parents why ur legs spasm randomly. they giggle about it innocently.

everything in ur life will become alright as soon as u stop this lengthening crap. everyone will accept u for who u are. if they dont , screw them! u are a better person!

remember no one knows long term effects of LL. ur doctor Kohne is good, but he won't really care about minor aches and pains and spams that get left behind. remember he sees the WORST cases of legs and urs will always seem okay to him.

ned_flanders my brother, please stop. promise me u will stop. the anguish can be hard to take if u start regreting doing this on a perfectly normal body.

I am not saying this surgery is not good. I have done it myself, but i was a bit crazy and crazy and optimistic. my expectatoins were very low. I just wanted to be able to walk, jog and go the gym and swim in the pool. thats all I do now. i went to an average doctor too.

i dont care about jumping chest high or making sharp turns during soccer. you clearly have a greater appreciation for the marvel of the human body, PLEASE stop doing LL.

i am not ned_flanders. i agree with some of his thoughts and some of the expectations of LL must be set right before doing it. for me LL was worth it.

But I want to make ned_flanders STOP LL. he is currently stretching his healthy legs 1mm a day. I want him to STOP for his own sake. that is all my intention is.

it is much better for him to be bitter about being short than being bitter about having unhealthy achy legs and still being quite short. he will feel more guilt over time. ned_flanders is in a terrible state of mind confused and the best course of action is to STOP LL.

I think it is true that you will lose explosiveness.

But

benefits of height gain >>>>>>>> explosiveness.

dont try to change his mind. he is clearly more motivated to get back to full athletic function. it is more important than a few cms. most people are happy to do LL but some people are not. if he regrest it now he will continue to regret it more.
ned_flanders should stop lengthening right now.

ned brother please reply and tell us u r doing ok. v r very convern for you.

it hurts me to see someone continue lengthening due to momentum and not out of interest. lengthening is irreversible. ned please stop! At least consult with ur doctor or some one.

Theres a lot of proof of great recovery for people who did reasonable amounts. May I ask who your doctor was and how much you lengthened? I am very sorry if it went bad, but yes there is objective proof of many making great recoveries. I think 5cm with a top doctor Is reasonable.

Wish you the best.

Hey, can you show me this proof, please? I am particularly interested in people who did "reasonable amounts".

Also @ Fodawupa, I also appreciate your concern for Ned, but you are not his dad, let him do his thing. I lost count how many times you said "please". I doubt he will listen to you. As you can see from Ned's posts, he has done extensive research and I am very sure he will not go anywhere near 6cm.

Don't get me wrong, your concerns are welcomed but this user in particular knows the dangers.

So by reasonable amounts I guess I mean 5cm or less, and also choosing a very top end doctor and getting in peak physical fitness before even doing the surgery.

The first 2 or 3 pages of the patient experiances section has some recent Paley patients that are loving life.

Paley also has some info on his site about doing follow ups with a large number of patients (the mean was 5 years for time after recovery that he interviewed them) and all of them were happy with the outcome.

Even as of 2019 the technology is advancing with stryde and things are getting better.

Dont get me wrong this is some serious   but with hard work and determination you can get taller and get on with your life

Thanks for your response.

Hmm, 5 years seems too short of a time, perhaps 10/15 years post LL would be a better time to interview these patients on their satisfaction.

Here's to hoping this information will be easily available soon!

i just want to respectfully clarify a few things:

1 ned_flanders is doing LL himself and satisfying his own desire of vanity but doing fear mongering for other future patients. according to him, this community is a lying delusional community full of crazy people who put vanity before healthy bodies, but he has gathered enough courage to do LL in the first place from reading diaries of patients for so many years.
2 i thought if he really thought LL was a bad idea he should stop it. LL is not for everyone. i was respecting him that he was able to forget LL and go back and live as a good human being. but he wants to lengthen his own legs but put  claims by speculating things to convenience his mood swings.
3. LL is VERY WORTH it if you are ok with some loss in athletic ability. for one, getting used to longer legs in sports is just weird. secondly after LL u get a bit scared of pushing urself to extreme and stressful workouts. u are simply happy to walk normally again. most people just want to get back to normal life after LL and forget about working super hard towards atheltic recovery. thirdly, agility is just something i think you should train with an expert to get back.

i am still not sure if he is going through some mood swings  due to lengthenig but if he is, he should really control himself and write more rationally.

good luck to all. just know when to stop lengthening, it is not a game of numbers...

i am sorry for any hurtful language if i have used. I know LL is a trying procedure for ned_flanders. i just hope people show gratefulness to having an internet community for this problem we all had / have - and respect that many people are wiling to take risks and document their journeys to help others. would you have had the courage to do CLL without this forum?

if u want to dig up other peoples recovery videos and point issues its ok, at least have a civilised discussion. dont speculate and make 100 unrelated conclusions about their mental states. that is plain disrespectful.
