If my mom doesn't allow me any other then that's the choice. Thanks for your concern .
Do your research carefully, as if your mom didn't exist. Then tell your mother the exact reasons why you chose that doctor. And explain why you
didn't chose the other doctors. Present your case and she may surprise you and support your decision. (Your mom probably knows very little about LL and may think any specialist can do it reasonably.) You're mom is concerned and I presume only wants the safest, best outcome for you - which is exactly what you want.
If you need to save more money and wait years in order to afford a doctor you feel comfortable with, then I recommend you do so. Everyone on these forums wants to get it ASAP for obvious reasons. Some will go to whomever they can afford now. Some will wait years in order to afford a doctor they feel comfortable with. Whatever is the best decision for you.
My advice is not to pick a doctor based on your mom's approval (yes, I understand it's her money) and then regret it if your legs get f'd up. You both will regret it big time. Big time.
(I went to a local collage because my mom insisted I stay nearby, and lost out on going to a lot of fantastic out-of-state colleges I could have easily gotten into, and exposed to a diverse group of people and experiences. I regret the potentially great opportunities I missed out on, and now she regrets it too. Oh well. But that's not what you'll be saying if your legs get f'd up. And it will cost you more money in the long-run.)
