would you... 178 cm or 183 cm, with messy proportions?
« on: December 01, 2014, 09:29:45 AM »

would you reach 178 cm, and 170 arm span (currently 174).

or 183 cm with 170 arm span?

There are tricks to make ur arm appear longer like wearing sleeveless. and having muscular legs...

The lenght of your arms are more important. At 183CM your arms should naturally be about 76-77CM. 2-3CM shorter than that is acceptable but it really depends from person to person.

My wingspan is only 174CM but my arms are 75CM so I could easily be 183CM tall without looking bad, 188? -that's another thing entirely.

If you're interested a 188CM tall man should have around 79-80CM arms I wouldn't go lower than 77CM or maybe 76CM but then you're rerally stretching it. Of course longer than 80CM is also acceptable up to a point.

Right, torso width is taken into account when measuring wingspan, like fat in sitting height

Is 75 cm the length of one of your arm? or both of your arms together? because if thats the length of one arm, then you have really long arms!!  :o

The length of ONE of my arms is 43 cm without considering hands. Either I have extremely short arms or I'm not measuring them right then.

mines are 78cm, don't go above 182 man, you will look horrible...you don't have the body for LL, though you have the body to be an alpha male and rock n roll

i dont really care so much about slight improportion.

i will reach 183 cm.

but my arm span is only 170.

that's not too obvious actually.

but i might consider humerus lengthening, if i want to lengthen myself further to 187!

I think one of us might be doing something wrong becuase my dad is 187CM and his arms are 78CM long and they look perfectly normal -I even guessed them at 80CM.

I would argue your trade off isnt enough.

How about 170cm with a 174 wingspan or 183 with the 174 wingspan.

I would choose the 183 and see if I got comments . If so get the arm lengthening.

For example, I am 170.5cm tall and my 'wingspan' is 175. I have heard that 10cm too short is good enough because its only 5cm each side. Unless we walk around with our arms straight out nobody should really notice how short your arms are.

So I am gunning for 185 but will settle for 183 if the doc wont allow more than 6cm on each segment. Either way I feel ok.

I am ok with 182-183 height and a 170 wingspan.

But if I get comments, I might consider 178 wingspan (4 cm on each arm)
