Most generous and humane LL surgeon outthere?
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:09:52 PM »

The guy who posted about Guichet charging fees for complications brought a question up to my head, which are the most generous surgeons outthere? Which doctors do not charge you that much for extra stuff? Which doctors treat you well? (I've heard thaf Guichet is pretty mean and gets mads pretty easily, I don't know don't take me seriously I just heard it).

Dr. Sarin seems generous, ur question is stupid, a surgeon has to be good at what he does and keep u as healthy as possibile

Pretty much all reputable dr.'s I know about charge for complications. Dr. Xia's institute does cover them i believe though.

Going to dr.'s based off generosity is foolish though.

Yeah gotta be Dr. Xia at the Beijing Institute. What you pay up front is what you pay, no matter how many complications you have.  They even treated my eye infection for free while I was there.

Except for f****** water for some reason.  You've gotta pay for water there.

It was ridiculous.  Milk was free, orange juice was free, but you had to buy these big jugs of water for the cooler in your room.  Xia wasn't about to foot the bill for those. :P

You didn't understand, and perhaps neither I expressed myself right. I was asking mainly for the extra fees and stuff, and perhaps their attitudes (a miser surgeon would be a synonym of a bad doctor for example, unless he has his reasons for charging you extra fees).

They all have reasons for charging you extra fees - the operating room and the supplies and equipment and everything costs money.  Probably none of them are making any extra money from complications: it's all going to the hospital and the equipment manufacturers.

It's just that Professor Xia's costs are really low compared to his fee.  He probably has the biggest profit margin of any surgeon (percentage-wise). It's not really "fixing it for free" he's just including it in the price.

Can anyone confirm that Guichet has a "mean" bedside manner?
It sounds more like a rumor never heard any of his patients complain.

When I met Dr.Guichet in Milano, he wasn't mean at all. He's more of a "strict, fatherly figure" type - which sometimes avoids getting straight to the point. But I found him to be a very trustworthy person. He was very helpful to Leechlet.

Dr. Guichet invited Leechlet to have dinner with his family because Leechlet was lonely during his lengthening.

Dude that's amazing, yeah because of Leechlet I heard him like mean and rude but probably he was just coaching him and scolding him so he could improve and return back to normal easily, in a good manner. Probably what made him sound rude is his italian accent (italians and argentinians have a rude tone when speaking btw but it is just their ways of speaking).

Does Jean-Marc sound Italian? Lol.

He does his surgeries in Italy though. I don't think he operates in France anymore, at least for LL.
