Is depression a reason to not do cll?
« on: March 04, 2019, 07:42:22 PM »

I want to do this surgery, but I don't know if I can handle it. The last days I spent all the day in my bedroom feeling depressed. I can't imagine if my legs were broken, how I would handle it.

Is depression a no-no to do cll?

Very good question. Unfortunately most centers don't seem to do LL along with providing psychological help. Maybe you should go and ask some experienced LL doctors what they think about this.

I would say that Is depression is reason to many to undergo to this severe procedure.  I do believe this is the most pricey aesthetic procedure  that exists

I would go in to shutdown mode if I was doing LL. Might be bad if you are suicidal and with a low pain tolerance.

But if you can barely handle your day health, how can you deal with the downsides of cll?

If you are depressed for other reasons also then you shouldn't get LL in my opinion. Like you describe, you may not be able to handle it. Worst case you will stop lengthening and it's back to square one.

If you feel you are overall fine and this surgery will fix that one thing nagging you for years then it might be for you.
