Doing some research
« on: January 25, 2019, 05:46:00 PM »

Hey guys, im recently 17 years old and 1,68 or 1,69 at best. I suppose my growth is done and my body is probably just embodying until 20 years.

I dont know if i want to do lengthening surgery actually, but maybe when i become older, this might be happen

I would like to see your opnion about it, you know... what the best femur or tibia/ what the best i can reach without any problems (height) / The surgeries usually do 1mm or .75mm per day, could i ask to them for .55mm or even loss for feel no much pain or have a better recovery (i dont even know if this is true)/ my legs will be as before the surgery/ can i have problems with my leg bones in future/ things like those...

Before you research into lengthening. You should wear lifts and see if it really makes a difference for you. You're not as short as most others on here who are between 158-165. I think for you 2-5cm lifts might be a big difference.

But the best option if you do want to have surgery is doing externals on your tibias. IMO upto 7.5 cm is safe but I would only do 6.5cm at most which would make your around 5'9.

To minimise any chances of problems (which are already low). You should stretch before you do your surgery, for about 2-3 months and yes you could do .55mm a day but I don't think there is any need for anyone to ever go slower then .66mm a day.

How your recovery goes, depends on yourself. You'll be back to normal for walking and lifting etc eventually but your running will become slower depending on how much you do. But, there are people who had no difference at all and still kept their athleticism post surgery.

Thank you for answering

I really could use lifts, but i dont like this idea. I just would like to be taller naturally, i hate being short dude, you know... I have done a research about growth for almost 1 year (a lot of things about it), and ye, there is no option. Actually there are option, i mean GH or even the surgery, but, you know how it works.

If i'd say i have an athletic body nobody would trust me. If i were 5'10'' or even 6 ft i really would be perfect. I think you think the same way for you. Well, i dont know what do to for now, my growth really sucks, but if everything goes well may i reach 5'7'' idk anyway.

I'll do some more researchs about it and if it is worth. Also, im following you, im curious to see your lenghtening..

IMO it also depends what country you live in, for example I live in Ireland and the average height here is like 181cm, so if you're 170cm in height you are very short but in other countries 170cm is no problem at all. It's a gamble operation so unless you are truly miserable by living at this height then don't do it and mabey gain you're appearance elsewhere like the face or mabey even just hit the gym. Anyway best of luck, direct message me whenever you like.

 Interesting, Hamilton

The average in my country is 1,74, but i live in richest and healthiest region, also i could say for sure the average is higher than the other states. In here, there many germans and italians descendants, im one of them but i hadnt that luck, you probably already know about those european averages, in some areas in here it is tha same. I remember, when my older brother finished high school, in the picture, he was the shortest guy, he was with 8 friends and all of them were 1,78+, i felt his pain cus he is the same height that me. In my school, my class is a little bit shorter than the others one, the tallest guy in my room is 1,77, but in others, i see most part of girls hitting even more than 1,70, there are some 1,75, and the guys... 1,80+. Im luck for joining a "manlet" class
