Sex hormones like estrogen and testosterone cause the bony plaques to close, so using steroids before age 20 can reduce your ability to reach your final programmed height.

I think people should avoid soy for other reasons, not because it has a plant compound that mimic the hormone estrogen.

I agree. When my son was little he had surgery, he could not eat. So they gave him soy formula. It ruined our lives. He got his hormones messed up and closed his growth plates at 14.

Soy does raise estrogen. It’s quite bad for you, lowering estrogen, thyroid and testoterone.
I would t say soy is useless as it has its purposes but I would avoid it generally as a man
