Anyone seen/talked to/gotten more info about the STRYDE nail?
« on: August 20, 2018, 05:50:34 PM »

If anyone here is or knows someone who is a STRYDE patient (and is able to share their recovery information, respecting their personal privacy), what have you seen so far?

I'm assuming that since STRYDE will be fully weight-bearing, recovery times would be much shorter, but I've yet to see any real numbers or estimates come out on how much shorter recovery would be compared to a nail that is not fully weight bearing.

Hi,

I think we may look at already existing weight-bearing nails like Guichetnail and Betzbone for reference.
Basically Stryde will be Betzbone but without the manual clicking mechanism?

It will be like the betzbone except it will actually be able to weight bear.

H Johnson,

You seem to know more than me. So the Betzbone is not weight-bearing? Or what do you mean by "actually will be weight-bearing"?

Doctors self proclaim that their nails as "full weight bearing" when in reality the nails would break if you fully weight beared. With stryde it's FDA approved as weight bearing alot per each leg. You can feel much more safe weight bearing with stryde than a self-proclaimed "safe" nail. Yes, the betzbone works and bears SOME weight, but it's not fully weight bearing.
