I'm preparing myself mentally for a 1 year journey of pure external tibia. I know that quality of life will be shiet but I want to distract myself from bad thoughts and kill the time as efficiently as possible.

Given how big and heavy Ilizarov frames are, I have to either sit or lie on my back, there's no other resting positions with those bulky frames as far as I know.

Which gaming setup do you recommend to me:

Gaming laptop
Console
Handheld device like Steam Deck or Lenovo Legion Go

Which will be the most comfortable to use in that situation?

Weird question, but why would you do tibias for an entire year straight? Or even do Ilizarov at all..? Just because it's cheap or something? But still, is it so slow that it will take an entire year to get (I'm assuming) a max of 5-6 cm?

At worst you have to expect being in frames for 2 months every cm distracted, so for 5 cm it's about 10 months in frames, which is almost a year.

I'm not going to go past 5 cm on tibia because of complications and the exponential time it requires remaining in frames when doing without nails.

The only downside when doing this without nails is that you have to make sure your regenerate is as solid as it can get before removing the frames in order not to get deformations. See RGKEY's case on the forum for an example.
