 I think i'm the perfect candidate for this surgery, but i'm sooooo scared of becoming crippled.
 Just getting started here...

 I think my torso is one of a 181cm guy, honestly... And my legs are soooo short.. My arm span is 179cm...

 I'm good looking and I've never had problems dating women, but obviously I missed many girls because of height.
 
  I would never consider femur lenghening as my hips are already sore.. My goal would be to lenghten maybe 5cm maximum tibia..
 At 175cm I'd be so happy (5'9) already.. Using elevtor shoes, Id be 10cm taller (around 6cm actually taller as everyone wear shoes), so Id be  around 181 (6 foot) , and that's compeletely fine.

 Any thoughts?

 The perfect height is 185cm.. More than that is for the worse I think. I'm brazilian.

Hi man, where do you plan to do it? I'm 172cm tall and my wingspan is 178cm. I want to do 8cm in the femur because I think 180cm is perfect for me. I spend hours and hours looking at forum messages just to convince myself more and more each day that I'll do it next year. I'm also very scared. I'm thinking about whether to go with Dr. Becker from Germany or Dr. Paley from the USA. Because of the distance, I prefer Dr. Becker because I live in Holland.

I am lurking for couple months and I think your best bet is purely external tibias. İt is very inconvenient to be in frames for 10 months but relatively safer and minimally invasive. Just dont rush and read as much as you can. Then go to consultations and interview real patients you don't have to decide now.

 Yeah, if I could only meet like many patients who had it done, then I'd be a lot more comfortable doing it. However, it's seems very hard to find patients. For example, when I search on youtube, all I find is those videos posted by those doctor channels who sell surgerys themselves, which is in my opinion not trustworhy at all. 
 
 It's their business, so they would never post the bad cases, the gone wrong stuff. They'll only post very short videos of a guy who supposedly had surgery and we can't even know.

  I feel like this forum is a step in that direction, but still very murky and obscure.
 The studies on the subject are very scarce also.... 

 If I could only speak on whatassap to some people, then I could see "ok this   is real and it worked"...
   Being tall would be amazing, but eing crippled would certainly not be a price I would pay for.

If you want 100% security and a high guarantee of success, you have Dr. Paley in the USA (who by the way has a branch in Poland). In Europe, you have Dr. Becker, Dr. Guichet, Dr. Giotikas. Hey there mate, I’m a patient myself, i lengthened 7cm tibia and it took 4 months from the first surgery day for me to walk normally without crutches. It was a fun journey with little pain. Your recovery time depends on how well you work to stretch your leg. Lon tibia is the best method rn. I suggest you to learn about the doctor very well. Don’t go with a cheap doctor, do internal nails, don’t over lengthen if you want to have some sort of athleticism, stretch a lot prior and after surgery. I had similar concerns to you.

how do you know you have a long torso?  what are yours stats, like sitting height and more important height from top femur (greater trochanter landmark) to the floor ?

I think It is practically accepted that 8 cm for the femur is a safe distance, although everything depends on each person.

8 cm on femurs is safe for ANYONE.
