Hi everyone,

I've been saving up for LL since 2020 and am about 1 year away from doing the actual surgery. I plan to do it next year.

Wondering if anyone can inform on what the recovery process is like in the sense of
1. whether I'd need help living? I won't have anyone else helping so wondering if I should get a caretaker. If so, how many hours / what kind of things would I need help for?
2. More importantly, can I work during recovery? If the healing process is delicate / gruelling, I wonder whether my 6am to 6pm (sometimes later) job would get in the way (I work as a trader/financial analyst with decent amount of a responsibilities). I wouldn't want to jeopardize others because of my impaired ability to perform, so will likely quit my job if the healing process is demanding.

Any insights would be appreciated. I'm essentially tryiing to get a sense of what kind of demand the recovery will require from me, so that I may best meet these demand by preparing for it now (whether it'd be getting preparing to quit job, or start looking for caretakers, to taking care of other living arrangements, etc).
