Due to the recent turkish controversy( http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=71235.0 ) I am starting this thread to assist all our financially challenged forum members considering LON Femur due to its affordable nature.

As always, have in mind that LON on femur is not recommended due to the fact that the femur is wrapped with thick muscles on all sides therefore having to live with the frame for months will lead to long term muscle and soft tissue damage

While with internal nails you have the surgeon cut into the muscle to reach the bone in order to affix the nail on top and bottom as well as to insert it through the hip(cutting into the gluteus), but this is MUCH less damage and faster soft tissue recovery than with LON, not to mention patient comfort is superior, discounting the pain that comes with all methods of course

So, I ask forum members to share their information regarding reasonable choices for LON Femur in 2022

I will start:

Quynh in ho chi min vietnam offers:
LON tibia 3/4 illizarov
LON femur monorail frame

I had my LON tibia with this doctor in vietnam, everything went well, I actually started unassisted walking this week so my recovery is going reasonably well.

price ~ $20k for a 4 month package - includes scar removal surgery in the end as well as 10 year complications warranty

Who else does LON femur in 2022 and what are their prices?

I know in Korea none of the big 3 Doctors does LON on femur because it causes more problems post-op ( patient becoming more paranoid due to higher pain level, harder to do PT, penetrates a lot
more thicker muscle and etc ) and because they aren't desperate to attract patients due to high demand over there.

I honsetly think lot of the controversial Turkish Doctors approve and even encourage LON in femurs because it's less time consuming than tibia and can give you more height in paper ( for marketing purposes ). It's crazy how people would opt for LON in femurs because they want that extra 1cm + want to save 5k-10k.

There is no reasonable LON femur option. Your potential length as a bilateral cosmetic patient is actually less than with LON tibias because you'll reach complications much faster.

you guys are missing the point
yes it is an archaic barbaric method however there clearly is a market for it as there have been hundreds of not thousands of LON femur surgeries done these past few years by the turks mainly

i mean buldu became a multimillionaire from LON femur so clearly people want this method for its cheapness

furthermore the frame can be reversed unlike betzbone so if non union happens you have a reliable solution that can be employed straight away. we all remember the story of unicorn and her irreversible guichet nails who clicked on their own with every move and turned into a 10 cm non union runaway nail that needed 100k worth of additional surgeries every time she had an issue with the nails

so besides Live Life Disabled who also does LON femur in current year?

people need to know they have options and not roll the dice on the turkish butchers

I don't know much about LL in Korea except that Dr.Lee is good. Do you know anything about Dr. Ju? And who is the third one?
