A Simple Method to Measure Your Q-Angle at Home

What You’ll Need

   •   A marker or pen
   •   A mirror
   •   A smartphone with an angle-measuring app

Steps

1.   Mark Key Points: Identify and mark the Anterior Superior Iliac Spine (ASIS), the center of your patella (kneecap), and the tibial tuberosity, which is the bony prominence right below your kneecap.

2.   Take a Photo: Stand in front of a mirror and take a photo. Make sure the camera is parallel to your body to get the most accurate representation.

3.   Measure the Angle: Open the photo in an angle-measuring app on your smartphone. Draw lines from the ASIS to the center of the patella, and from the center of the patella to the tibial tuberosity. The angle where these lines intersect is your Q-Angle.
