changing profile picture not possible anymore?

Hi I seem to can't change my profile picture, it says "Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow.

Please consult your server administrator for more information."

no matter what picture I try it's always the same even after downscaling to 50x50 pixels... Can someone help please?
