What is the actual height increase from LL?
« on: April 05, 2022, 09:36:25 AM »

If we look at photos of people who had genu varum before surgery (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/820569994576277738/), we notice how straight the surgeon makes their legs. Does this correction of curvature in itself give an instant increase in height?

It would be logical that in the case of a medium genu varum as in the picture above, we would get 2 centimeters simply from curvature correction. Then add these 2 centimeters to the actual 8 centimeters increase in length, and we get a 10 centimeter increase in height for a person with genu varum. Am I right or do I not understand something?

Correcting a deformity like bowlegs will give an added height increase, yes.
