Anyone else not doing CLL for relationships?
« on: February 12, 2022, 09:36:12 PM »

Don't get me wrong I'm not an incel or anything, it's just I feel like even after I get CLL, I wouldn't be interested in dating women knowing that many of them wouldn't have cared for me if I didn't get the surgery. It sorta leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm moreso doing this to not feel inferior to or intimidated by other dudes. Anyone else feel this way?

Count me in. What's more you are not holding unhealthy opinions about love.
Actually I never believe love does not demand appearances, at least not too ugly and short anyway it's ridiculous to be delusional that if someone really loves you, she/he won't care about your appearance. But yeah everyone's requirements about appearances are not the same so it's lucky for you to have other girls crush on you even though you are short/ugly, but again, it never means relationships do not demand appearances and not have the threshold.
But being intimidated by others is kind stretching the reality or you have come across some guys with certain mental disorders or educated at a very level or other. At least I was never intimidated by others simply cuz of my height, at least I am always achieving enough respects and courtesies from others.
I am doing LL just to fulfill myself and wear off an obvious and major flaw of myself and you know I am kinda perfectionist so I do never allow myself to have any flaws like I don't accept my 2 big nostrils and unflexible hair LOL either LOL.

I’m mostly just doing it to make up for my lost adult height via precocious puberty.

Sorry but I try to understand. You wanted to do LL because you wanted to feel your height is within the average of your friends. Not for romance?!

Basically my reason too.

It was definitely 50/50 for me, and now I really am scared of the same reaction from women.  You might try to meet a girl patient of your doctor while you're there.  I've found that I have a much stronger connection to and feel a lot more comfortable around fellow LL'ers of both sxxes than "outsiders" LOL.

So don't do it. LL won't fix this. There will always gonna be someone taller than you.
I was shorter than you before LL and I never felt intimidated. This is a mind issue that LL can't fix.
The issue with women LL can definitely fix.

I did mostly for women and, similarly to ReadRothbard, to recover the height I lost when I was a kid due to some health issues.

My experience was different.  LL helped a lot especially around average guys.  And so what if a 6'3 guy still towers over me?  Even they show more respect now.

Well obviously there will always be SOMEONE taller than me, but to go from the 20th to 80th percentile is a huge difference.

I also wonder if I did somehow stunt my growth. My sister is taller than me by about half an inch.

I understand you, altough I would / will try not to make a kind of negative filter right away and instead take advantage to reach women that otherwise would exclude me also right away even unconsciously, because we all have prejudices. And then I would filter away all those who revealed themselves as superficial, materialistic, uninteresting, to sum up, that would never love me beyond my LL centimetres...and me neither would love them.
If you are talking only about sxx, that's another story.
And if you're already "tall" still maybe other approach applies, maybe in that case I'd get a bit "disgusted" by some of them....but look, LL is our choice, not theirs. Either we will live with it or not, in every aspect.

Just as many have height neurosis because of women, because of self image and so on, he may have felt intimidated either in pure reality or due to yet another form of neurosis. In this perspective, LL may have the same benefits (solve neurosis) or don't (because there will always be taller(?) or at least stronger guys and acting in gangs...). However, in these cases I would give maybe more room to counselling or coaching. The final goals make me suspicious about some form of "not soft" neurosis (with all due respect). They are not on the safe range and surpass  all countries average in the world, maybe except Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina. They surpass largely (8 cm) for example the US, UK and Germany. And what's the big interest in visiting those two countries? Anyway, for 2 or 3 mm it wouldn't be the end of the world...
I think it's generally maybe positive if he's not doing this to "pick up" girls. Is he/you (really) not? But he (you) have a simple solution for that "problem" with women: just lenghten less not to be possibly the tallest guy everywhere you may go...

I can agree big with this. I have no problems with women, but I feel inadequacies due to my mom.

I'm not doing CLL for relationships.

I'm doing CLL for work related opportunities, my own self-esteem and to take advantage of the halo effect. Men's ego is the biggest thing that holds them back in this life. Just accept the fact that a 6'1 you is a whole lot more likely to have an easier life - especially when it comes to business and hook ups. Conversely, a 5'4 you would live life on "expert/extra hard mode."

I got plenty of hookups before CLL. I'm excited and ready for the future.

I totally agree with you. Height is driving me crazy and making me a pathetic lunatic and psychopath obsessed with height. And I hope someday I can exchange a height however tall I wanna be with anything that can be used for the tradeoff.

LL will contribute massively to fixing this. “There will always be someone taller” ya no  , but the problem is being consistently shorter than other men is going to wear on some peoples psyche. Tons of “mind issues” can be fixed by altering other aspects of your life because they arise from your interaction with the environment.

I get so irritated that people will think anything outside of their reason for getting LL is dumb. A bunch of people on this site would think you are a loser for doing it for women. I think the only time someone should have their reasoning questioned is if they are not of sound mind. Like if they are doing it because Jesus told them to or something.

I would buy elevator shoes that add 2-3", then wear those around and see how you feel. If you feel more adequate or masculine, then go ahead with CLL.

I wouldn't bother too much, it's a bitter pill to swallow that most of the time humans are very very shallow. Nature and society made us like that, it is what it is. There are tons of reason a potential girl wouldn't like you any more if it a certain aspect would be different.

Wouldn't she be interested in you if you were bald instead of hair? Could be true.
Wouldn't she be interested in you if you were unemployed? Could be true.
Wouldn't she be interested in you if you had an unattractive face like you have now? Could be true.

And so on and so on.

I've found one way of getting over this is by realizing through self-reflection that we're no better, either.

Yeah. That's why wise always says only fools rush in love LOL. Just admit it no one is completely unshallow that he/she can neglect all of your bad features to fall in love with you. Don't retort me with delusions that if he/she really loves you he/she will never care about your bad things but just logically think about it. If you got no good features why he/she is loving you for no reasons? No one is bound to falling in love with you like being called on to complete a mission without any legit reasons why he/she is loving you. Just admit it love requires something of you and love is never unconditional.
